The last king maybe in world history who was fighting together with his soldiers and was not sitting in a palace far away. The sole reason why Greece has Epirus and Macedonia.
Not be a nerd but the king of belguim during ww1 was also in the front lines and I do know he fought in the front lines I am from greece after all so I should know my history but just wanted to point it out
It is up to us to make him popular again. Every person that objectively reads history as it was and ignores the crap they serve us at school will see the truth
My thoughts on him are in the middle yes he did lose us Asia Minor and yes he did lead us to victory in the Balkan wars, yes I'm grateful for his liberation of my home region Macedonia, but he also wanted us to sit idle when all of Europe exploded and we had an opening to acknowledge the Megali idea.
To be fair the one who liberated Macedonia was Venizelos because yes king Constantine lead the armies but when the Bulgarians started to approach Thessaloniki the king refused to attack there even tho Venizelos was telling him to do it. This would be really bad for Greece because if the Bulgarians captured it first then we wouldn't gain it in the peace treaty. At the end Constantine decided to do what Venizelos wanted and we barely managed to enter the city before the Ottomans.

@@Reno_user King Constantine was the commander in chief at the battle of Kütahya-Eski Şehir at the summer of 1921 so years after WW1.

Long live all those monarchs who remain and stay strong in today’s world. They will make their return
Amazing video with great symbolisms and aesthetic.
Congratulations.
May our Great Soldier King's memory remain eternal!

make one about manolis bikakis, he defeated 7 turkish tanks and 2000 Turkish soldiers all by himself.
not exactly 2000 but a great amount nonetheless.
Ottoman Empire did not have tanks. So it must be a myth.
