I like the modular, utilitarian look of the game's weapons. This is a corporate prison after all so weapons have to be of a one size fits all aesthetic. I like that theres also weapon manufacturers added on, which helped the world get fleshed out some. Though I found the combat tedious, I enjoyed the normal difficulty and look forward to playing again ia a harder difficulty.

But weapons in Callisto just......I don't know how to say but looks like marine guns which is so ordinary, still good but just not in my expectation.
I think because the enemies type, most enemies in DS are kind of zombies with blade hand which will rush toward and sliced you, so some laser cutter type weapon are more efficient as you really need to cut their head. While in this game most enemies will meele you so the weapon looks like standard marine weaponry.

Quick question: If I ignore the tactical schematics, would I still get the ammo for it, or something else take its place (credits, ammo, health, etc.)?
I guess I'll try to beat the game again, maybe after a patch or two. There was no problem in my playthrough, I just want to know how better it's going to be when I jump back in.

I love the game. I am more of a RDR2, GTA, Watch Dogs, Arkham kinda guy and don't invest enough time in linear games with exception of some really great games like Detroit BH, Uncharted 4, Splinter Cell etc. And boy I'm loving my time with Callisto. The graphics, the animation, the top notch sound design are industry leading. I just wish there were more enemy types and suit designs.
I’m on my fourth play through and I’ve spent a lot of my time figuring out which weapon is the best. Here’s what I’ve found. My ranking would be 8. Tactical Pistol-Weak, heavy kick and poor stability. Worst gun by far. 7. Skunk Gun-Very low ammo well, no range at all, basically a weaker version of the Riot gun. 6. Baton-Unlimited ammo and fun to use. It sets up nice shots with the guns but is useless against bosses. 5. Shive-Also unlimited ammo but also provides an instant kill. Also useless against bosses and enemies who spot you. 4. Riot Gun-A beefed up Skunk Gun. More powerful, slightly better range, more ammo, and a second fire that one shots all non-bosses. 3. Assault Rifle-60 ammo per slot! Amazing range! Using secondary fire mode I’ve killed bosses in seconds. It kills bosses the quickest. Easy. 2. Hand Cannon-Ok. Me being bias. Secondary fire mode is insanely fun to use. That’s it. Assault Rifle is probably better but less fun I think. 1. GRP-One shot kill anything you can pick up. There is a reason they don’t sell GRP batteries in the store. The game would be a cake walk.
Like extra health nodes and damage resistance? Yeah I can get behind that. Thing is I like that we’re never truly overpowered. It makes the fight more interesting
the Calisto Project has my favorate all time video game gun upgrade and making system of all the games, it feel's like it's realistic with that bit if Sci fi to add to it, I love it
It’s the third time I’m playing the story, it doesn’t get boring. The game’s awesome and is revealing. Just like the circle and cole pretend to be gods, that’s the same way elites do in the real world, that happened with COBID

One of my favourite things in games is when weapon upgrades change the appearance of the weapon for example bioshock 1&2 I wish more games would do stuff like this

Skunk is best gun in this game. Do not waste your money upgrading hand cannon. Skunk gun has the 2nd highest damage after riot shotgun and cheapest ammo.

The best detail Is not the weapons,Is the f*cking hologram "completed" writing that also appears distorted and reflected on the glass planels as they open .....wow!
I kinda found the stability upgrade design for the pistols a little silly. I mean, mounting the front grip right below the muzzle. Sure, it could help with holding it steady, but thats awfully close to losing a finger or two by accident. Should probably have gone for a stock added onto either the main grip or the back of the pistols or have the front grip be a frame mounted onto the underside of the barrel, bit like a shotgun.
It's pobably based on laser metal sintering. Basically a lot of tiny metal grains in the air being "welded" into a desired shape by a laser, just made more sci-fi.

It grinds my gears that Jacob still holds onto the hand cannon's grip with both hands even when the foregrip (Stability Upgrade) is installed 😭
They should have made the upgrade for its base grip other than adding the foregrip would have made sense and looked better.

I never built the Tactical Pistol or the Assault Rifle and i only really ever found ammo for the Hand Cannon
The answer is no! If you just use the hand cannon and riot gun that’s the only ammo you’ll find.

If you dont have a weapon in your inventory you wont get ammo for it

Personally I believe the Hand Cannon is bye far favored gun, but the skunkgun or the riot shotgun are the only two high dps weapons
for me i feel like i did the most damage with the assault rifle its a 3 burst but it definitely helps clear and get the job done

I was po'd at Jacob. Switched to the assault rifle and he loaded an empty drum mag I didn't notice until I went to fire. 😂

These guns look more like Nerf guns than actual guns. Even the name of the guns sound like nerf guns.
It’s interesting that the special upgrades that change the properties of your bullets are like attachments that look somewhat out of place

Using the printer was the most annoying thing, especially when buying ammo. There's no way to skip through these animations.
