Great reaction and good choice of the song!🤘😉 You definitely should check out the English version as well. Why not the music video from the Great Tour? The music is the studio version but the footage is from the Great Tour across Europe. A lot of good stuff (and a lot of Tommy 😉). Please watch the whole video until the end. Hilarious stuff coming up there. 😄

This was a fan made video with no subtitles apparently.
The English version has the same chorus... well almost, in Joakims layer, "gå fram" turns into "go forth"

Hi, if anyone wants to know more about the horse, search for Streiff. That was the horse's name. He was also shot but survived.

    Late comment, but anyway:
I'm a Swede, and I've been to the museum hosting this stuff, among many things, several times.
The kings horse is absolutely huge, you can tell it was a horse bred for war, and you would not want to get in its way.
Gustav II Adolf's bloody clothes are on display and the first time I saw it I remember being amazed that you could still see the big blood stains on the old fabric.
The same museum also has the uniform of Karl XII (Carolus Rex) on display, the very same one he wore when he was shot dead in battle. You can still see the mud from the trench he was in, on his boots. The uniform itself is mounted like if it sat on an invisible mannequin, so it it is quite impressive to stand in front of it, because you can imagine a person in it, if that makes sense.

I THINK I might have seen it, but not sure. Why not sure, lived in Stockholm between ages 4-6 when dad worked at the head office of his firm. Mum got homesick and wanted back to Göteborg. We went round a lot to museums etc during that time. Many years ago by now.
Göteborg was founded by Gustav II Adolf in 1621. He stand as statue on the town square and the cathedral is called Church of Gustav Adolf.

This might get a bit layman version of history lesson, i have seen the sabaton history channel of this song and the 30 year war in particular. Most european armies used same structure and tactics to utilize the new weapons, like muskots and cannons. Gustavus though and his generals had found a few ways to improve tactics. And many tactitians argue that he invented modern warfare, even Napolean and hitler used some of these tactics but ofcoz with new ideas coz of new weapons invented. I strongly advice to watch the history version of this.

I am from Sweden, but I dont understand the greatness with Sabaton....this sound is just boring to me...especially vocals 😀Those historical things are interesting, but when doing it this way, it feels nationalistic to me (I hate nationalism). Our war kings, like Gustav II Adolf, Karl XI and Karl XI, riding around europe, trying to steal land, feels like what Putin does today. I am not that proud of them... 😉

From Sweden too. I don't agree with you but hey that's your opinion. I just love war history and rock/metal. I think their music is a great way to make people interested in looking deeper into what they are singing about!

@@randomguy4184 Well, I dont argue about taste and I know a LOT of people dont agree with me! 😀 Actually I like another "war metal band", british death metal band Bolt Thrower. I have not dug into the lyrics though. If it is war in general or any history behind.

So you hate your own nation, which is not surprising; you commenting that it sounds boring is nothing but projection. Typically how younger generations feels in the west (Sweden and Germany being at the forefront) which is both sad and dangerous. If it weren't for these people Sweden wouldn't exist, you have no clue how things worked back then and have no clue how things work now. If they didn't do what they did, enemies like Russia would've taken it all or at best governed over the region and denied full sovereignty.
I assume you think the same about the US and how they are militaristic and project their power everywhere (world police), and you think they should just ease down, unfortunately the world doesn't work like that, if a strong nation doesn't project their power, totalitarian nations like China and Russia will take that position by grabbing trading routes, setting up production in foreign lands, and by economic and military pressure control these nations and indirectly control the west; and that is exactly what they've both done in places the west has neglected; especially China.

@@YeeLeeHaw For a start, I am 55....and I dont hate Sweden. Well, I hate what it recently became, when nationalists that sang nazi songs earlier in their careers, suddenly grow to 20% in the election. And it is those people who sing songs for Gustav II Adolf too. The big conqueror! We are suddenly questioned all over europe and especially in the EU. We have always been in the forefront of democracy, environment, solidarity...and suddenly nationalistic crap distroys our reputation. The only one congratulating us, is the nazi, Le Pen...
I like what Biden does, because he is a globalist. I wonder if Ukraine even existed now, with Trump in the House. I hate nationalism...and I hate egoism. At the same time, its terrible how they left Afghanistan...the taliban should never have any power, anywhere.
Anyway...this is no place for politics and it is also hard to have a conversation this way...

    • @YeeLeeHaw
      @YeeLeeHaw ปีที่แล้ว

@@morganolsson1993 You're denying the soon inevitable collapse of your country by trying to make it seem like it's nationalists that is the problem and not the obvious problem you'll see everyday when going outside or turning on your television. You're being replaced and all you can do is blame your own. Self-hatred is the real disease plaguing the west, not some bug from Asia.
_"and suddenly nationalism destroys our reputation"_
That's not what is destroying your reputation, let me tell you that. Before Sweden was being looked on as an example of what to do, now it's the opposite. You were one of the safest countries in Europe, had one of the best education systems in the world, one of the best social security, even one of the strongest armed forces, now you have one of the highest crime rates and rapidly declining standards on almost all fronts; including your culture.
The amount of nonsense you've spewed out would lead me to think you're joking if not for the knowing that you've been brainwashed to this ridiculous degree where you blindly hate your own nation.
_"and it is also hard to have a conversation this way."_
Yes, we can agree on that. YT is removing a lot of "bad" comments so I will not continue either.
