This isn't a hymn, it's a song that was used in EFY and Seminary lessons. I remember it well, and wish my children can have the chance to learn these songs too.

@@TheDreameroflove I mean, by definition a hymn is just a song or ode in honor of God. So she's not wrong. Yes, I know I'm replying to a 2 year old comment.

I love the first line "There's a call that comes to you and me. Strong and clear to share His Truth and Light." I love my Savior and am so grateful for His life, what He has done for me and all mankind.

My daughter and I were asked to sing a song a couple months before my son returned from his mission but we kept having to move it back until his homecoming! I felt that we might have taken over that Sacrament with so many of our family participating that day. I had actually been wanting to sing this song for a musical number for a couple years prior.
Somehow I convinced my wife to pull out her old flute from high school (I’m 49 and she’s 45) and play a complimenting flute track. It all turned out nice. We had a recently returned Elder play the piano for us who does amazing.
Each time we’ve been asked to sing in Sacrament has been such a powerful and memorable highlight in my life. This song was no exception. I’ve played this song on loop in my pickup while driving during work and it has brought me to tears feeling the words and thinking about the the impact that spreading our Master’s endless love, peace and hope to people I’ve encountered.
I love the power of music and love to see others get out of the comfort zone and express their testimony through music, song, and spoken word. God speed!

I was not raised in the church. Some missionaries left me a book of mormon it set untouched for a year before I truly began to seek God.After I resisted every sin that I was involved in and was reading the scriptures,The Bible, neary all day long-every day for a month-I reaquired the Book of Mormon.I prayed to Heavenly Father and asked Him if it was true and I felt as if it were a bubble inside my heart burst and warm liquid ran out as I read. Since then I have known of its truth

I'm sorry you feel this way. People are not perfect in any way but God is. The Lord loves you and the only thing that matters is that you come unto Christ and try to be the best person you can be. It doesn't matter what anyone else does, they are still learning to be like Christ. Tithing is a sacrifice you make to show the Lord you love him. He gives you everything you have, that breath you just took, ya, he gave that to you... The least we can do is give him a small part back.

It is just because this wonderful song is inspired in the olive tree allegory, wich is explained in the book of mormon in the book of jacob chapter 5....in this allegory is described the work of the savior, as well as his patience, love and dilligence to bring his people unto God (comparing them with a olive tree) , and he invites his servants to work hand in hand with him...

Christ organized his 12 apostles for the work of the ministry. For the perfecting of the saints. Judas and Silas were prophets among them. When Judas Iscariot betrayed the Lord, Matthias was numbered among them to complete again the twelve.
The restored church (LDS or Mormon Church) has the same organized twelve apostles and prophet for the work of the ministry. For the perfecting of the saints.

You don't have to be worthy to go to church. The church is there to help you get back on your feet and to follow Christ. Even the vilest of sinners are welcome to come. Christ loves everyone, and that is why he is always beckoning us to come follow him. I'm sorry about your hardships with being in and out of the hospital. I hope that god's love, and the peace that he brings will help you. Remember that there are people all across the world who are praying for you, and want to help.

I just want to point out that I accept the King James Version of the Bible as the absolute truth and inspired Word of God, and I understand the Mormon Church uses this version of the bible as well.
Where things go astray however, is while the bible was written before and shortly after the death of Christ, and again was accepted by the Church as the true and inspired Word of God, the subsequent book of Mormon wasn’t written until the 1800’s, after Joseph Smith allegedly received some golden tablets from an angel named Moroni.
Here’s the question I have that I haven’t seen brought up by others though. If you can accept that God is perfect and all knowing and that the King James Version of the bible is the true inspired Word of God, then why would God need to send an angel, whose name is not mentioned in the bible by the way, in order to change His Word and start a whole new religion through having Joseph Smith proclaim himself as a modern day profit, followed by his writing of the Book of Mormon. The answer is that God wouldn’t do this, because He got it right the first time.
Furthermore, it is well documented that Joseph Smith was a convicted felon of multiple offenses, including theft and attempted murder, who was practicing divination or the summoning of spirits using a spirit stone, when he received a visit from an "angel". And I would just note here too that such practices are condemned and forbidden by God in the bible. Furthermore, he was searching for gold when he was summoning a spirit when he received his visitation and was given the "golden tablets". My point here is that Joseph Smith was not visited by an angel of God, but most likely by the very devil himself who gave Smith his "revelation", and that Smith is a false profit who started a false religion that is leading millions of people away from God if they don't realize the truth and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Furthermore, Mormons believe that God had a mother, that God has a wife on another planet who he has spirit babies with, that they (Mormons) themselves will become gods and be able to make spirit babies of their own for their own special planets if they live perfect lives, that Jesus and the devil were brothers, that Jesus was really the archangel Michael but became Jesus when he was here on earth but returned to being Michael when he returned to heaven, that special magical underwear is required to ward off evil doing, and that black people were originally white people who became cursed for siding with the devil and became black folks who were unworthy of temple worship or associating with. This of course is all blasphemous, heretical and absolutely unbiblical nonsense, none of which of course is volunteered by the Mormon missionaries when they're going around knocking on people's doors trying to gain new converts for the devil.
All I can ultimately do however is lean on the true Word of God, and in the end if someone cannot except that as true then there’s nothing more I can do but to pray for them. I feel that it’s my responsibility as a Christian to do what I can to witness to others though, so at least they will have heard the truth whether they choose to accept it or not.
I will tell you too that the true Gospel of Christ is explained in 1 Corinthians 15, which tells you that you will be saved if you believe that Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and that he rose again on the third day and ascended into heaven where He sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty. A sinner’s prayer would include a believer professing all of this, but also should include repentance and the asking of forgiveness for all of your sins.
Once you’ve done this, by professing your faith, believing in the gospel and repenting of your sins, then the bible says that you will be saved. Sadly though, for those who refuse to accept this free gift offered through accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they face eternity in outer darkness, separated from the true Love of God forever. Hopefully, you will see the truth and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and turn away from the false teachings of the Mormon Church which is doing nothing but leading its followers into eternal damnation.
Lastly, at the very least I would ask that you please just pray about all of this if you want to know the truth, and I have no doubt that the Holy Spirit will show you the truth and leave you with no doubt about everything I’ve said here.
May the peace of Christ be with you!
Matthew 7:15 - Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
1 John 4:1 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 - 13 For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.15 Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
    Salvation Verses:
Romans 10:9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:36 - He who believes in the Son has eternal life, but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.

So few things, first I love your boldness to stand up in what you believe in. Second, I noticed you have a few facts that are fuzzy. You are right in saying the King James Version is the correct. The Book of Mormon isn’t fixing anything, it is more like a sequel to the Bible. If you look at a BoM, it says “another testament of Christ” meaning the Bible isn’t false and neither is this. Next thing, when you are asking why Joseph needed to start another church, we use the glass coffee table idea. Imagine gods gospel as a glass table. When Christ died the table was smashed and everyone scrambled to get as many pieces as they could. Obviously no one church would have all the pieces and therefore none of the churches would be correct. God didn’t fix the earths churches instantly because we as a world wasn’t ready for it. If you look at a history book you’ll notice some pretty important events happened just before Joseph found the plates. Namely a country was developed with religious freedom, slavery was banned etc. When you say that joseph was convicted, totally true. But look deeper into it. Gandhi was also convinced for many crimes, he was a great person. Martin Luther King Jr was convicted countless times. But they were just trying to fix a broken system and the people who benefited from that system didn’t like it. So they tried to get rid of them.
When you talk about divination from “magic stones”, I think you are a bit confused about facts. In the past there has been several instances where god has given divine power to objects. He touched stones and they gave lights, he touched lambs blood and no one was killed etc. is it so strange to think that god touched stones and they were given the gift of tongues? That who ever looked through them could understand any language? The “magic stones” you speak of are the seer stones. They only helped Joseph translate the pigeon languages that the plates were written in. When you talk about spirits visiting Joseph, of course they did! Joesph was young and needed assistance! The forbidden practices are worshiping false idols (worshiping a statue), trying to falsely see visions (attempting to use divine powers for selfish reasons will only allow you to tap into Satan’s power. Hence crystal balls. Satan’s powers. Which if that sounds confusing, just think, after all that time watching god don’t you think he would learn a few tricks?)
About Joseph looking for gold. This is a half truth. Joseph was told by an angel about the plates (tablets as you call them) four years before he actually got to take them out of the ground. He was told this when he was 14, he then went to the place described by an angel and found the plates. When he went to take them from the ground he was told not to because 1: he wasn’t ready mentally/emotionally to translate 2: he wasn’t strong enough/smart enough to protect them. So they stayed there so when you say he found the plates while looking for gold, yes the gold plates.
In your second furthermore paragraph, you are right until the we living perfect lives part. We know we will never be perfect. But if we live to be the best we can and repent for our shortcomings, Jesus will make up the difference. Then we can become gods and continue the cycle. Next, we don’t believe Christ was Michael. We believe Adam (as in Adam and Eve) was Michael. He helped Christ in the creation of the earth under the direction of Heavenly Father.
Magic underwear, not a thing. We have garments that symbolize covenants we have made with god (comparable to a hijab) and when we wear them to help us remember our promise, we are then protected by the promises. We wear them all the time because we are asked to always remember our covenants.
The whole black people are cursed white people thing, again another half truth. There were two groups of people. One followed gods commandments to the T, the others were barbaric. The barbaric group did enough to get themselves branded that everyone would know of the awful things they did. It manifested in their skin turning darker to symbolize the darkness in their hearts. This was the origin story of that, we also believe that man are punishable for their own sins and not others transgressions. Meaning just because they may have started one group like that doesn’t mean we think that all black people are cursed.
The reason missionaries don’t say all this at first is because we were given an order to teach thing in. You don’t teach calculus to 10 year olds for the same reason. They aren’t mentally/spiritually mature enough to understand it. We teach the most important stuff first then when they understand that we add more to it so we don’t overwhelm them.
I took your challenge to pray about what you said. I was told what to correct and to tell you. So I did. So I am returning the challenged. Pray about what I have said.

@kb24crazylaker I started Watching Your video. But as I got to the point were the men and women began telling you their storys of why the left the Church of Latter Day Saints I had this feeling come over me telling me that they were wrong and that the LDS faith is the true gospel on the earth today. I continued to watch it, thinking I would understand but no, being a true and faithful priesthood holder I know that this Church is true with all my heart and I know that the Prophet IS called of God

@kaitlinjoface93 Dear Kaitlin, I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. 90% of my very best friends are mormon. So believe me whan I say, out of all the LOVE AND HONESTY in my heart, all I want to do is help you. I'm honestly an 18 year old guy crying as I am typing this. I BEG BEG BEG BEG you to google "Unveiling Grace." It is a short film about real people who were raised mormon and who went on their missions and who eventually left the mormon Church and why they did. it is so worth your time!

@schwa95 The people in this video were just like you. They went on their missions and were raised in the faith of the lds church and believed it with all their heart. All their points came straight from the Bible. Besides telling me that "you had a feeling" and "I know this Church is true" which is what the lds church tells you to say, please tell me where they were wrong. Prove me wrong.watch it again. Its worth it to be sure you are going to spend eternity with Jesus!
