River ribble has potential, i had a dace take 2 8mm pellets on a size 8 fishing for barbel! Forgot the scales but it was bigger than my pb of 1lb 1oz from the upper witham! Ive seen a few pound fish to . Great video again 👍
Hey big G, haha thats what i was thinking Pal lol. Get the pike rod out now as that river has some monster Pike in it. Great video as usual guys well enjoyed it to say the least. Tight lines and all the best Pete.
Good video again guys great we fish it's amazing if you way up the keepnet at the end off the day how much it is nice we relaxing day for yees looking forward for the next video and I hope Alex still doing a bit down his allotment it can be allot. Between fishing editing and looking after a allotment to so hat off for you mate
Great to see Alex getting his mojo back but must admit it did crack me up seeing him rather piss*d off as it's how I've felt last year fishing 😂 but we just keep getting back out
Unfortunately the dace have ruined what was once a great river for roach and perch. The pike have also been decimated by the fishmongers so that's allowed a population explosion of dace with very few predators to keep them in check. Also, as you found out, they are difficult to catch, so even the fishmongers aren't keeping them under control. Flounder was a nice bonus. The river is tidal up to near where you were.
Great point Gordon.....you are doing it right in terms of pleasure fishing...pleasure being the operative....
Thanks mate 🤝🏻

Loch Ken is another good water for Dace, had some nice ones out of there but as you've seen, you've got to be quick.

Great little fish the dace as you say lightening fast bites..love hitting them on a trotted float or even a dry fly. Long time since I fished there.
