Thanks for the review Mike. I LOVE this ink. It writes so well on Tomoe River, Rhodia and cheap note paper. Completely waterproof. I made a list of books I needed to find at the university library, and on my way home, my list become completely soaked. I left it in the car - and came back to it dry as can be. The ink did not run. Simply amazing quality and incredible value. However, they do caution, not to let the ink dry in the feed, or it will ruin your pen. I've loaded these up into a number of my TWSBI Ecos - and they write nicely - but, they do stain the inside of the clear plastic. It isn't offensive. It is faint, and translucent - but I recommend you only less expensive pens, with a cap liner.
The inks look great. Thinking about ordering a bottle of the black. How long do you think one of those bottles will last? Unfortunately, Bloomers and Deartemis aren't available in the Czech Republic, which is strange because Deartemis is made in Germany and the shipping cost for these inks is more than the price of the ink. Just getting into fountain pens.
Home N Living (link in the video description) is the Australian stockist of Octopus Fluids… so I would imagine they will have these in stock eventually (if they don’t already)
Nice overview. One question I have, which did you use to write Aubergine text? Was it a dip pen? I bought this ink expecting a color like yours, dark and saturated but it tuned out into a clearer one.
That sample was a dip pen, but I haven’t found it to be particularly light in the pens I had it in. Mayne not quite as saturated as the dip pen… but still clearly purple. I do tend to favour wetter pens though
@@theoffstageme thanks for the clarification. I'm really interested in an ink which resembles the color you got from aubergine in the dip pen and if recall it correctly, you enjoy purples, can you think on one? I've seen that Robert Oster Deep Purple can be a candidate...

Very useful video, appreciate the warning about the inks being pigment and if used in a fountain pen, do not let it dry out.
Living in Germany these are super good value. Not quite Pelikan 4001 level, but around 8€ for the "normal" inks. Very hard not to buy them all. 🤣
