I have no idea about anything competitive cube shenanigans related, but it’s always a delight watching those at the top of their sport/game absolutely crushing a personal and/or world record! It’s the excitement on all the faces of those competing, especially those who have beaten their own personal records which always makes me smile! Watching these amazingly talented young folk showing such emotion and delight in improving and shattering their own personal record is sport at its most pure! Nothing better than seeing those competing against their own personal best, and less concerned over winning money, and/or winning against others in this tournament… Which is partly why I love watching more uncommon sports/games where money isn’t the major draw, but having fun and competing against both yourself and others is! It’s nice watching a sport/game where the value is on the competition and sportsmanship over a potentially large prize, if there even is any prize and/or money other than a small amount after all pitching in 5 bucks to the winner kind of deal…
