You should shake your head from side to side (ear to shoulder) so It can become like a curly big fro ( with no part per se., let it fall where it may) but i guess picking it would also give that affect. .

When I refresh I use a cream or butter... since the setting lotion was already in my hair before wetting it reactivates that product. I find that using the foam a second time is a little bit more drying to the hair.... but I use lotta body sooo thats probably why... anyway nice results! 😊🙃

So I follow your routine to a T. When it comes to detangling I use the Felisha Leatherwood brush. When I’m detangling I still have a handful of hair that comes out. I do have a medical condition that causes my hair to fall out as well. As for the perm rod set I have used foam setting lotion and a cream to install my perm rod sets. My sets don’t come out like yours 😞😞
Id be afraid to go asleep after it looking so good and voluminous.

To wash your hair after a rod set how do you do it like say the curls are still intact but your just over the style and want to wash it without damaging your hair in the process any tips? (Detangling and such)

Being that this is heartless, if done often, will it affect your natural curl pattern?
It probably will. I know I had worn my hair in a sleek pony tail everyday and the front part of my hair became easier to brush and ended up having looser curls

I've never really seen anyone refresh a rod set. They aren't known for lasting a full week. That is a lot of work. At this point I'd pull it back til wash day and it's a lot of manipulation.
@@felicia_716 very true! However, I know plenty who can make it last 5-7 days, but when you do a SET style a simple spritz isn’t enough. Nae2Curly is also a queen of rod sets, and does refreshes really well. Check her out, if you don’t already do🧡
