Daniel giving the resume version of what he does 😂
I absolutely LOVE Matthew and Daniel! They both need more video time. Love you too Andrew!!
Agreed!!
Andrew and Matt’s windshield talk was like Abbott and Costello lol.
I love the discussion of the big potatoes. Remember, the dumber the farmer, the bigger the potato‼️🤣 (Note: I can say it because I grew up on a potato farm. In fact, Haz-Wald Farms, which is next door to Ochs’. I used to swim in their swimming pool in the late 60s!)
The first time I heard "The dumber the farmer, the bigger the potato" was when I came home from a super bowl party and told hudband I won $$$. He said that to me.
The random chicken always makes me smile.❤️🇨🇦
I Chickens 2:8
"Behold, on the day of chill and frost, the warmth found beneath the hen whilst one gathereth her eggs is as a blessing from on high."
Daniel’s logic on where the important work is done checks out lol.
Andrew, I'm in my early 80s and have been cooking for family for 75 yrs: I've switched to the largest potas (available at Costco - you call them 'Chefs' and here in the upper Mid-west they're 'Baking' or'Restaurant' russets) bc with arthritic finger joints they are easier to hold on to while peeling. And peeling 1 or 2 lg potas for a meal is quicker than peeling several smaller ones and one just stores whatever isn't eaten for another recipe or meal - Leftovers are GREAT!
The warm underside of a chicken on a cold day …oh the things I’ve learned from the veggie boys! 😂Andrew you crack me up! Absolutely love your channel. You always have a terrific attitude and way about you. Keep smilin’ ❤️🥰🇨🇦🙏🏻🍁
This is absolutely the truth and I’ve not thought of it since I was a kid! 😁
Great video Andrew. Hang in there Lauren time will pass quickly.
You and your family are kind people. Blessings
Old lady here, and you're right I hate when I get either marble sized or a couple of potatoes the size of my head in a 5 lb. bag. Grumble grumble grumble...
Hi,everyone hope you have a nice day😊
Hay Andrew you have been chosen to be Mr Potato Head. Keep up with the good work you do at the farm and your videos
Lots of potatoes! That’s good that you are selling lots of potatoes. I love watching the cows eating the potatoes.
Glad to see Lauren's belly. They will be here before we know it. Love Callie's laugh.
Pray Lauren feels better soon. Have a wonderful and Merry Christmas 🎄🎄
Grandpa Bryan should be doing commercials, cartoons and voiceovers with his wonderful voice! Love all of you Veggie Peeps!
i can't wait for pumpkin rolling! there's gonna be some happy cows that day!
Callie is a real sweetie. She will be a great big sister. Prayers for Lauren and the babies. Glad you gave the cattle some potato treats! Always nice. Good too you got the horseradish ready.
I like the bigger potatoes for when I have baked potatoes love them.
Waited all day for this video. Love this family.❤❤❤❤❤
Danial hits the nail. My family had businesses and it bothered the heck out of some of us, "who did the real work?" and the reality is, we all did. For example, how did they think those cookies made it from the oven to the shelf? Oh, that's right.....someone doing Real Work removing it from the oven, packaging it,. and getting it to the shelf. (My children were raised at the business just like Callie as well) In my families culture and heritage, being in the business from suckling mom at some back chair to growing up and running to great clients is normal.
Looks like she is filling better!
I want to commend you and Lauren for keeping Callie rear-facing in the carseat. SO incredibly safer.
And its the law.
Nice to see a family that can get along with each other. My kids hate each other's guts.
Goodness Rick, that's a real shame about them not getting along. I was adopted from Germany in 1954. I just found my bio father's family 3 years ago. My new half sister lives in Indiana and her husband's last name is Fritz...this coastal Alabama gal wonders if y'all are related, be cool if so!
So sad.
@@joanthorington3593 Hello. I'm from the Southwest Minnesota Fritz's although I moved to Seattle 50 years ago. My great-grandfather, Albert, left the Pomerania region of Germany in 1890. He was a farmer. Fritz is not a common name so anytime I hear it I wonder if we are related.
Sorry to hear that. We sure do love eachother around here
Hey Veggie People, thank you Daniel and Mathew for those profound statements🤣 xxz.
Yahoo a new Windshield 🎉.
I hope Lauren is feeling better❣️.
Job well done men, potatoes for everyone !
JO JO IN VT 🎄🌟🎅
Lauren is feeling good
Lauren, you look fabulous!
It's a great day when the veggie boys download
Horseradish Capital of the World is in Collinsville, IL, 10 miles East of St. Louis, MO. They Celebrate this Designation in the Summer with a Weekend Festival.👍
I know it is about to be Christmas but. I can’t wait for that great time to start planting seeds. Only a little bit over two months then it’s time to get ready for spring planting
I'm with you Jon...this coastal Alabama gal loves watching all the activities getting ready for spring planting and summer harvest! ❤
Good to see Lauren looking better, glad she's wearing compression socks. Excess fluid in your feet is painful and you can't wear shoes! Callie is a constant source of enjoyment, a delight to see.
I use to have to cute lots of onions. I would always do it under the stove vent, it sucked the fumes away. You could set up a fan. Just a thought. Always good to see Lauren.
Horseradish is a lot more powerful than onions. I always grind it outdoors and the neighbors could even smell it.
Used to have to prep all the onions sliced thinly for combo pizzas by the lunch hour too, strong!! ❤️💪 with a salad bar that included pickles eggs 😅 🌷😅I had to crack open that bucket of sulfury smelling pickled eggs 🥚and slice them all nicely w the salad and fruit before 10 o clock every day lol I loved everything but those eggs 😂❤🎉
😭 Horseradish!
Their little chicken bodies are at close to 100 degrees and they have very few feathers under their wings and soft fluffy bellies. Yup. Perfect hand warmers!
Even when you aren’t picking, you sure are still so busy !! 😀😀
If Daniel said it, I believe it. It sounded perfectly logical to me.
Thank you Auntie Rhonda ☺️ you help wherever you are needed
Good looking animals👍
Hello, veggie boys batten down your hatches we sent uall some tropical weather your way, so stay safe and enjoy 😂😂
I am 72 years old in Jan. and I prefer the large potatoes, easier to hold and peel for me.
I don’t peel my potatoes, but if I did, I certainly would not want small potatoes …
The family that bags potatoes together stays together.
Andrew I learned this from a Doctor, verified by a couple others, playing Beethoven, Stram, and others while women are pregnant. The babies are influenced by the music. I talked to my 3 sons eldest & twin’s, sang to them praying over them plus music to them.
Rev. Paul, Eustis Florida.
You guys are all great. Love when it's horseradish time. Really nice new windshield. Ty for sharing you and yours with all of us!
Glad the calves got upgraded and had room to move.
Safe to say you guys and gals are the best. Continue to take the best of care and thanks for sharing ❤
“Well isn’t that something “😂😂 I’ve been waiting for the windshield
Andrew you made me laugh when you took care of that cheeky chicken, sitting on the top of the fence!
I always wondered how they got out to be wandering around all the time - guess that little clip answered that question! Lol
Good video 👏👏👏 Great Lauren feeling a bit better 😊😊 that's a lot of tummy girl, you look lovely missed your smile 😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love from the UK x
I just watching all of you. I would love to see more of grandma and her cooking. I'm glad Lauren is feeling better, too. I think the calfs playing was fun to watch. Callie is getting so big she will be a little helper when the babies come
I just love how you all have so many skills. Done with farming, it's straight on with cookie baking. Potatoes look so good this year.
The wind shield looks good. I thought the side by side was for fun, but it is a real work horse. That sunshine looks nice, we having a lot of drizzle. Loved watching the calves enough some extra space.
I like a big potato for a baked potato.
Nice that you are helping Lauren out.
Andrew is super supportive and so helpful! He’s a good hubby and dad 💕 -Lauren
Face it Andrew, that windshield is cleaner than its ever going to be again!
“The warm underside of a chicken…” there are still some perks to the job.
I remember you slipping Andrew😅😅😅
Never happened
You guys are so lucky to be able to open store your potatoes for sale. Our state made laws preventing that because of rodents. Great video.
Lots of cats around their farm - I bet they are all great mousers!
Exactly. There's no hurry to switch her to a fwd facing seat. Maybe have Lauren eat some saltines BEFORE trying to get up in the morning. With some hot or cold tea. Glad you have family willing to help w/Callie. God bless your whole family.
What a fun video today!
By the way I would also like to commend you and Lauren for the way you are raising Callie she is such a good girl. You guy's just rock what else can I say. 😊😊😊
Thank you ☺️ 💕 you guys do such a wonderful job with everything that you do thank you for the entertainment and all the work you all do 19:22
Rick, my new Indiana family is Cortney and Trina Fritz, mostly in the Indianapolis, Ft.Wayne,Wabash,Lafayette area...who knows kiddo,we could be distant cousins! Also found out my Hoagland side are related to the VonTrapp family, the ones olin "Sound of Music". Thrilled to hear about that!
Do you have plans on growing fruits? Keep up your great work!!
Lauren looks beautiful, so excited for you guys.
Lauren is looking great. Hang in there.
200,000 by new year?? Come on folks hit the button
Hello from Siesta Key Florida
Lol 😆🤣😂 you guys are so funny warming hands under a chicken 🤣🤣🙂
“I don’t know what you said?” A common phrase with toddlers.
Andrew thanks for the video Take Care and Be safe on the farm Out.
Bagging Potatoes, Washing Potatoes, Picking Potatoes, Fixing the Potato Picker, Moving Potatoes and yes planting seed Potatoes........That's a lot of potatoes......
Are you and your wife having twins??? How amazing. 💙💖
Hello Andrew & Callie , Daniel you’re doing a wonderful job packaging cookies. Grandpa surprised you with all the veggies he got . Mathew must be brave to drive without windshield in the cold weather to haul potatoes.
I always uses 10 pd bags we eat potatoes every meal .
Love collecting eggs and wipe eggs off place them in egg cartons to sale them. WOW that is a lot of room in green house with baby calves.
The weather here is 21 and drop to 19 tonight snow flurries windy throughout all day.
Be repaired it’s coming your way soon .
Open door’s window open tear’s our going to come wow and runny nose’s . Hello Lauren glad to see your okay . Can’t wait to see those’s babies take care .
The warm underside of a chicken 🤣🐔
Do you sell custom beef packages in the farm market? The calves are adorable ; I don't recall you saying what happens to them as they grow. Just wondering! Love your videos. Merry Christmas!
Yay 🎉 horseradish time!!
Andrew you slipped and fell in the water puddle last year. 😊
Never happened
Man I love some potatoes. So many diff ways to cook them.
wow who is buying 1250 pounds of potatoes...some restaurant or local market?
Ham with glaze is really tasty for the holidays, had one after Thanksgiving.
The Christmas cookies look so sweet and dainty 🎄🎆🎀
I remember slipping and falling in the mud.
And it is silly when a fall happens that upon getting up a look around happens. Did anyone see me on the ground? Then we continue!
Whaaat no
Good afternoon 😊
Times are hard for most people Andrew. I know you don't talk politics on your channel but does it really surprise you that things Aren't booming in a lot of industries? People are sticking to necessities and family meals and toning down the excessive spending! Harder times are coming but you guys are in about the best industry going. Everyone needs food and shortages are coming. Harvest wasn't great this year around the country. Keep what you are doing! We need our farmers more than ever!
agree that we need more small scale vegetable farmers and less politics
During the summer I fix the kids in my community homemade French fries 🍟 and they love them. I had several kids ask me can you actually make French fries from home lol I would love to be able to get a fifty pound bag of your big potatoes.
Plexiglass windshield would be cheap and easy for the side x side
Lauren looks fab!!
As always fun for us. I don't like horse radish for sure.
Awesome video 👍👍
Just a bit of advice when cleaning your new windshield. Do not use glass cleaner. The best product to use is standard dish soap. Glass cleaners will cloud the plexi/ lexan.
Merry Christmas ❤
Great job. Enjoy the family❤❤❤
Enjoyed the video
Good day to all.
Hey you fell in the vegetable field last year be safe
Nice fresh hat👍🏻
beauteous!
Love you guys so much it is a blessing ❤🎉
I hope Lauren feels better. Growing 2 humans is a massive job. Before long you will be holding your babies in your arms.
I find the smaller potatoes hard to grip with arthritic hands. I prefer the big ones. They all get cut to a cookable size anyways.
Good show
Merry Christmas
Good onya guys....all the best for the future ahead....it's going to get busy at home 😜
I love horseradish and sourcrout videos
I really Envy you and your family. I came from a large family and we farmed but we didn't work together like you guys do. I wish I could work with my family this way but we're all getting older and I think you guys are doing great. And girls I can't wait to watch your videos every day. Someday I'm going to come and see your farm that is my ideal wish
