I've always liked hearing Mel Tillis sing. This particular song has the same name as a movie he and Roy Clark starred in 7 years later in 1986. Mel recorded another song also titled "Uphill All the Way" for the movie's soundtrack in 1986. One of those rare instances where a singer has recorded two different songs with the same title.
