I listened to the section at least twice and I still don't understand how drag queens saved her life. I especially wanted to know why drag queens are OK. I think the problem with the "drag queens in schools" is that it is all part of the narrative where the government will allow indoctrination into everything anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-common sense, but also outlaw having a Bible on the teacher's desk. I think the trans thing is much more complicated. Maybe start with "END FGM". Leaning Libertarian, myself, when I first saw her, I thought Kat had a fresh, insightful perspective on politics. But now I see why you can't be president until 35.
I may, perhaps, be able to shed some insight as I was also in an abusive relationship for a long time. She talks about the mental control the abuser has, and how you start to believe certain things about yourself. Kat mentioned thinking 'no one will ever love you' and 'you're a terrible person.' Also, you learn to be aware of *everything* about yourself. Everything you say, how you look, things you do. So when she says she saw the drag queens just being "unapologetically them" it changed her. It likely freed her to be herself again and accept who she is, where she is, and not make excuses or apologize for it, as she was 'required' to do for her abuser. Hope this helps. Side note: there are some good drag queens, that are just out there to have fun and want nothing to do with children or indoctrinating them. But lately, there are groomers parading as drag queens and those are the ones that are not OK to have around children, obviously.
The 1st Amendment says nothing about protesting the government. It says the government can't deny you the right to petition the government for redress. Neither can it deny you the right to assemble peaceably. However, very few modern protests are peaceable. Blocking public rights of way or trespassing on private and public property are not peaceable acts. They are civil disobedience. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
The idea that proposing a specific carve-out by Constitutional Amendment of the singular act of burning the American flag balances the left's explicit calls to abrogate the First Amendment because it's a "problem" is risible. Again, her role is to dispirit right wing people and convince them not to act when they should.
@@stevenflanagan6504 The 1st Amendment doesn't say you can pursue redress in any manner you want. It says you can petition the government for redress. A petition and a protest march are not the same thing. A petition is a written request.

This division didn't happen until social media gave people a way to speak their minds, something that rarely happens when face to face. When real feelings are revealed it's apparent that we have little in common with the other side. Unity is not possible at this point.
Not sure I agree, average person didn't feel this way until social media started shaping what you could/couldn't see. The more you see the same thing, the more you start to believe it. Public school started removing critical thinking. Kids grow up to simply repeat what they get from someone in a position of authority. This carries over into adulthood.
My experience is that people were much more free to speak their minds in the past. People would disagree about something significant and then walk away from the conversation and say "well, it's a free country." No one says that anymore, do they?
@payleryder45 I'll agree that people were less likely to take a difference of opinion as hurtful to or attacking their feelings like they do today. Its as if they need validation to agree with their personal thinking rather than finding truth and adjusting their beliefs.

Indoctrination and brainwashing by religious zealots (children of parents)leave the kids alone, let them decide-No One Is Coming To Save You--
I may, perhaps, be able to shed some insight as I was also in an abusive relationship for a long time.
Trespassing on 'public' property - there's a can of worms.
Seems like redressing a grievance pretty much the same as a protesting
@@stevenflanagan6504 The 1st Amendment doesn't say you can pursue redress in any manner you want. It says you can petition the government for redress. A petition and a protest march are not the same thing. A petition is a written request.
I can’t wait to watch Kat over the next 5 x 10 years and see if being a mother changes any of her views. I’m independent and lean towards libertarian and believe those were core principles of the founding fathers.
Libertarian ideology is far closer to conservatism than liberalism.
It used to be. I don't think that's nearly as true these days.
You are sadly mistaken my friend
The only one with a brain at fox news!
Why because she is a libertarian?
Read my comment immediately before this .
Libertarians are foolds who actually have less logic on their side than they think.
The mushy moderate who doesnt fight for anything.
The United States is a hodgepodge of cultures sharing the same land. Of course we don’t get along, and never will. Give up the fairy tale of brotherhood and sisterhood. At best we can have is peaceful coexistence, and that’s good enough.

Love Kat...she's real, authentic & funny as hell.
I like Kat, but the fact is that, barring some unknown event, either Harris or Trump is going to be President. That's a binary choice.
@kerryedavis yeah, I know that...just like I know my non-Trump/non-Kamala vote wouldn't matter anyway since I live in NY
@@ryancampbell2192 Except the left loves to crow about "popular vote" so it's important to resist that as much as possible even if your vote in your state "doesn't matter," and it also gets to imposing the "National Popular Vote Compact" which could make the votes of a lot of other people irrelevant too.
If you don't like either candidate, vote for your self interest. My bank account was much happier under republicans.
And if you don't like war, the choice is clear.
Yep. That's one reason, there are others. And I like Kat, but the fact is that, barring some unknown event, either Harris or Trump is going to be President. That's a binary choice.
Im a big fan of Kat's one liners. But this is an hour long. She keeps doing one liners though. She has a sentence on her book. and then says its expensive having a baby. Well, she could have talked about the medical industrial complex. Nope. Chase oliver was mentioned once? I only listened to half and the bit at the end because its just one liners and this is not an interview. Can someone sit down with Kat, and like explain how difficult this interview is? She really didn't even explain what a libertarian is, and the differences on Faux news. Im a libertarian and I love what Kat says, but one line at a time.
If I ever met Kat at a party, I’d be starstruck and probably ask something stupid like, “how’d you get to be so cool?!?
Ur a joke
....I have never liked you
ick
I love this young lady. Me 30 years ago.
I neve knew she was so foul mouthed!
Swearing is a scientifically confirmed trait of honest people.
I have always liked her iam independent but don't like so.e of the stuff she says
Librarian falls about at its root, "An adult should be able to do what they want as long as they don't hurt others" this eliminates your drug mnf and your drug dealer as we know the harmful affects of drugs.
To either reject or accept binary thinking is binary thinking.
16:51 Gee she's just starting to notice that all these displays are virtue signaling. "Look at me, I'm better than you because I'm flying my gay pride flag, and i have a rainbow sticker on my car window!"
I think the smartest kid in the Special Ed class at your local public grade school came to that conclusion before Timpf.
I like Kat, but the fact is that, barring some unknown event, either Harris or Trump is going to be President. That's a binary choice.
Which is why I oppose both of them. Choosing the lesser of two evils stills gets you evil. #twopartyscam #duopoly ##votethirdparty #noneoftheabove #WriteInCandidates #registerindependent
She's right on one point. There isn't much we agree on with MAGAS, but... there also isn't much we have to say to the cult members either. Once their orange god is gone, we can only hope the return to the actual republican flock and begin to see sense and reason again. Until then, not much to say to them.
You're above it all! So wise!
Trump/Trumpism is a reaction to/symptom of the problems, not a/the cause. And I like Kat, but the fact is that, barring some unknown event, either Harris or Trump is going to be President. That's a binary choice.
@@bjaminf113 Fifty years ago if someone was 24/7 obsessed with politics and government they were generally considered a crank. Politics was part of being an American, it wasn't a tribal identity.

everyone Kat Timpf is in the presence of becomes unfunny
In re: Timpf's turn to agnosticism from Catholicism (which was a part of her public identity previously) I find it hard to accept that she really cared and "wants to believe in something."
If you wanted to believe in something, you wouldn't have left your family and moved to New York City in order to hang out with nihilists in Brooklyn.
I recall an event in the news several years ago when Timpf had water poured over her head or similar in a public place in Brooklyn. My surmise is that Timpf's views have much more to do with social pressure from her chosen peers than they do a reasoned examination.
You are making SO many assumptions! If you have no idea what the details are, why even speculate. If you want to speculate, why make the speculation negative? That says a lot about your thought process. Kinda like my decision to use speculate too much.😊✌️
@@joeybagodonuts6683 Because it's the topic of conversation of the video and people aren't in the habit of admitting that their beliefs are formed as a consequence of concern for their status and social pressure. She's not going to say: "I wanted to be an edgy slut in Brooklyn so the Rosaries had to go."
"buy the book. I'm having a baby. It's going to be expensive"...
Wait. Didn't you say your husband was a guy with a good job and uses a "finance-douchebag-uniform"? Aren't you already well off? Respectable that you would want more but e-begging coming from people with money sounds quite unappealing.
Who is this host? This guy is amazing, insightful and funny (or that's the chemistry with this guest). He should be front and center more.
I think she gets pretty well paid by Fox, for starters. Although it's also quite expensive to live in NYC. They've done the show in other places in the past, including Florida, and commented on how much they would like to be there permanently. So do it!
And I like Kat, but the fact is that, barring some unknown event, either Harris or Trump is going to be President. That's a binary choice.
20:14 They're fine with free speech, but only so long as it benefits them. That's the problem.
