    Love the video, nice and to the point, nothing you said was disagreeable. My favourite unit so far, I do think a crucial component to it when up against Armoured and Mechanised units is getting ATGM nests up as soon as possible in the best spots. If you know where to go before hand, almost every map has some exceptionally great spots controlling key areas relevant to the middle objectives of the map that the enemy just isn't going to expect, and this is better done by dedicated small atgm teams than just a secondary project by a full airborne infantry squad.
    I had someone seriously tell me they didn't see why this was so special because you were just evening up the armor advantage to be at square one with eachother. And ignoring the obvious problems with that just from positioning, momentum, morale, better supply lines, etc. I think people seriously forget more armour also means more tickets in armour to potentially lose. Three armoured vehicles lost to ATGMs before they can inflict any real casualties (as happened in my last match of airborne) isnt just them losing their signature assets, it's an immediate 45 + ticket swing in your favour which is massive.

      Yeah it's definitely going to take people some time to adjust to how the tickets really play into your team's decision on how to properly allocate assets and such.

    I know people want attack choppers but little birds could be cool for urban environments and getting into more difficult terrain. A very fast way for a squad to set up a surprise attack with a rally.

      I think little birds would be a fitting addition to Squad! Albeit, only if their implementation doesn't throw off the balance of the other helis or vehicles. Attack choppers are a slippery slope type situation.

      I agree I think if they were kept as rapid transport with very limited weapons non at all depending on map and they can be used for raid operations or for rapid redeployment for specific assets.

      CAS, not attack choppers. With only light machine guns and unguided rockets

    one thing i think could be fun for airborne would be fast ropes maybe not the most useful but i can imagine on some very urban maps it could add a new way to get into some strong holds

    Please do a video focusing on Technical tactics, the insurgents and irregular have lots of them, and they are super fun and effective if used correcttly

    Air Assault also kind of struggles against IMF and INS (I suppose to a lesser extent VDV) since they have AA vehicles and emplacements putting a large amount of area denial for those helicopters.
    Personally, my favorite unit type to play as is Motorized. Most factions have pretty good motorized units and the game leans really hard into getting to objectives quickly. Air Assault is capable of doing this as well, but it doesn't usually come with the armor assets to help for breakthrough attempts that will need to happen once both teams settle in to a loop.

      @@Tatsu06I also forgot. Another thing that gets overlooked a lot is that you can never play Air Assault as defenders in Invasion. Which is strange.

    Until the road vehicles are more realistic, I mean they cannot climb steep places and have more realistic resistance, air superiority will not be important.
    Nowadays, a logistics truck or LAV can travel almost anywhere that the infantry can, so why would I go with a helicopter? Yes, this one is very indicative of where a radio may be. Sorry for my English

    Good video. Just one thing. I think you underestimate tank's ability to slap down helis. Sure you can overcome this with high levels of teamwork, but I've come to accept teamwork as the exception rather than the norm for squad. Thus I say airborne is a high skill level faction that will not work in most games. But with a well coordinated team it is absolutely lethal.

      No doubt! Affirm all. It's unfortunate that team oriented cohesion is so few and far between. Though it may be a pipe dream, I fantasize about Squads potential and imagining well executed airborne assaults really gets my jimmies off.
