Motloung says former judge president John Hlope and Andile Mngxitama
will bring to vibrancy and intellectualism more than populist

Let's wait and see how MK influences the "quality of debate & engagement" and their influence on oversight and holding the executive accountable. I am not talking about grandstanding or performing but doing the real work of Parliament. I hope MK members of Parliament will attend sessions, including all Portfolio Committee Meetings. I appreciate the 'disruption' MK has created in the political space, it has resulted in movement & realignment. If MK in Parliament demonstrates discipline and is a positive, progressive influence, then we are in for an interesting ride in the next 5 years.

Such refreshing analysis by Dr Motloung. I could not understand the line of questioning by Grootes, of intimating that MK equals chaos. Why, when Dr Hlophe made it clear their engagements will be done within the constitutional framework, as it is their right? How does espousing the land issue mean they will disrupt parliament?
As long as you are friend to Ramaphosa and you have step aside rule is not applicable but if there's a scandal and you are in Zuma's side step aside rule is applicable
Big up to Andie Mngxitama. finally is in parliament. Endurance and persistent really works. He deserves it. He really supported Zuma and the land issue through thick and thin. Ego aside, they will achieve more with President zuma and Dr Hlope as their mentors. EFF should remember that the land struggle was not their sole responsibility. EFF really mess up with their arrogance statement of open boarders. Malema is causing the EFF support for being erratic and arrogant to listen to other people and reasons. Where is Snuki Zikalala and Mavuzo Msimanga? They told the nation that no person with a clout of criminal allegations over their head was going to be allowed on the ANC candidates list. But, right now, not only are such people on the list but are also sworn in as MPs, some of whom are also waiting to be sworn in as members of cabinet. nope...NO NO NO...Why people from other provinces like Eastern Cape & Free State which are very close to KZN did not support MKP in numbers? Yes there are very few MKP from Eastern Cape but why the number is not a bit higher just like in Mpumalanga? These are all Ngunis. I think Eastern Cape people want to be loyal to the ANC because most leaders emerged there. So it is being disingenuous to say Zulus are tribalists when in fact other ethnic groups do not want join because MKP has been founded by JZ. Yes in KZN the number is high because Msholozi is from there and again he has been very active there from the days Mandela deployed him to restore peace. JZ identifies with the masses and vice versa to an extent of mixing or associating (going down) to the level of the masses while other leaders remain aloof or isolated from the 'grass root citizens' because of their education.
