    Did my best to not be distracted by the microphone. Very cool.
    The game looks absolutely amazing. We can't wait to get this to the table.

    WOW! Since y'all added the hubs in there this game has doubled in depth. As I understand it the permanent worker removal action lets a player heavily stack workers in hubs to skew the game to their advantage...BRILLIANT! And two more bases? Yummy! I love it!

      Wow, thanks so much for your comment 🙌 Really pleased you're liking the new additions! You're correct, adding in the HUBS means that players can have a big influence on how the game is scored, this means games vary dramatically from each other. In one game it could be all about building bases and another it could be a race to fund a megastructure etc. We found that, as this is a campaign game, having this variability really helps to keep players immersed in gameplay across multiple games. This added to the voting mechanism (where votes are kept hidden) means players have an idea of which path to victory is worth the most but they're never 100% sure! The new bases were unlocked as part of the KS campaign and we're really pleased we got to put them in!

    Hi, i have not understand how i put workers on the hub zone... Can you explain? Yhanks

    • @cogitodesign
      @cogitodesign  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your question! Workers (except the permanent starting workers) can be put onto any worker placement action (far right side of your player board). When you take one of those actions e.g., the 'Peacekeeping Force' action, you take the worker from that slot and put it onto a HUB of your choice. This worker is now not part of your pool. The HUB you choose to put that worker onto will be decided by you based on your strategy in the game. For example, if you place that worker onto the Hensler HUB, this worker will contribute towards the points that can be gained by the building of bases. So, if you have already built one or more bases (or plan to) then this HUB would be a good choice. Each HUB relates to a particular path to victory which is indicated on the card itself. A more detailed explanation of all the HUBs are on page 15 of the rulebook. I hope this helps! ☺

    Hello, I'm getting ready to table this game and am doing preliminary research, which ended me up here- first of all, thanks for the game, which looks to be a lot of fun, and thanks as well for this instructional video.
    However, I have succumbed to information overload 😮‍💨
    There are a lot of abstracted number values being discussed here, along with actions existing in a void bereft of relevance.
    Although I believe the structure has been well-designed and the video to be comprehensive, in a game of this nature, it would have served your purposes much better to have a pre-planned 2-to-4 turn playthrough of 2 players taking all the possible actions in order to demonstrate not only what an action results in and how they are implemented, but also WHY they are contextually relevant and prioritized.
    I suppose I feel this way due to my recent experience with Voidfall (and all other iconography/component-heavy euros), which was great...after the 4.5 hour punch, set-up, and apprising of symbology and again, relevance of action. Of course, when I realized it was largely Twilight Imperium: The Euro, everything fell into place for me, but initially it was a baffling slew.
    For me, it's not a deterrent to slog through a first playthrough, as I expect every mid-heavy to possess depth that is passively punishing to new players, but I have found that many will morosely retreat from the prospect of what is effectively schoolwork culminating in a failing grade.
    This is not to poo-poo your work here- the video has excellent editing, production, and pace, and you have a pleasant demeanor and speaking voice.
    Speaking for myself, the things I hoped to get here were:
    1. Set-up
    2. Actions being performed
    3. Ballpark endgame scoring
    4. Contextual priority of action
    5. Neptunian bordellos JK!!!
    Maybe there is another video on your channel covering a playthrough, but seo/algorithim put this at the top, if playthrough has been covered, then...welp!
    Regardless, I'm really looking forward to playing this (and Gonza Index) on Sunday, and many weeks thereafter. Hope it is as good as it looks (great) and that your interest and sales contribute toward an expansion in future! Thanks again!

    The starter workers don't share the symbols with the other workers. Do you follow then the color? To put them in like color spaces. Or do they go anywhere we want

    • @cogitodesign
      @cogitodesign  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your question! Yes, follow the color 👍 The symbols are different to remind you that you cannot use the permanent starting workers on the worker removal actions. The reason for this is to prevent a scenario that could end up with you not having any workers and therefore you cannot do anything. Hope that clarifies things. Thanks for your support of Solar 175 and enjoy!

    Does a player Have to visit Hensler IPTC in order to build a base, or are they able to build the base their ship is currently on without the need to first go to IPTC. Thanks!

    • @cogitodesign
      @cogitodesign  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your question. In order to build a base you have to have a ship in a location where a base can be built. You also have to have a base available to be built (meaning that there needs to be at least one base in one of the four slots on right hand side of your player board). If these things are both true, then you may take the Trade Action and build a base by paying the amount of credits and mining resource tokens listed on the location card. I hope that helps- enjoy!

  • @mgarbuthnott

    The outposts that start on your player board...do you assign these first and that releases more worker spaces for you?

    • @cogitodesign
      @cogitodesign  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that's correct. However, they're not assigned in the usual way. You can only remove them from your player board and assign them to a location as the bonus action for hiring a lobbyist worker. Hope that helps. Enjoy!

    • @mgarbuthnott
      @mgarbuthnott ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry just another question re outposts. When assigning outposts these can be placed on ANY locations in the zones in play there's no requirement for your ship to be in the location or any other requirement? Thanks.

    If you take the action that allows you to move a worker from one hub to another and then to draw a worker. If your bag is empty do you then follow the rules for the draw phase and move all workers from city leave card (if there are any)? If you are out of workers I would assume you just do not complete the second part.

    Had to come here for the hensler clarification.
    Player or row setup did not mention to place 2 base tokens on the hensler card.
    Made the rules regarding that card extraordinarily confusing.

    So I am confused about workers in the bag, because the instructions say that you start with the 4 permanent workers assigned to your corp, but then keeps referencing taking workers out of your bag, but at no point was I instructed to put workers in the bag. Do you just evenly distribute all of the workers at the beginning of the game? This is super unclear.

    • @cogitodesign
      @cogitodesign  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, I’m sorry for the confusion. The bag building in Solar 175 works the following way: You draw workers from your bag in the draw phase. You then assign these workers to actions on your player board in the assign phase. Then, during the action phase, you remove them from your player board and place them onto your city leave card. If at any point during the first drawer phase you run out of workers in your bag, you put your workers from the city leave card back into your bag. Thus the workers cycle from being drawn from your bag, being assigned, then going onto your city leave card and then returning back into the bag. I hope that clears things up.
      One point to note is that there are worker removal actions on the right hand side of your player board. These work a little differently. Workers placed on this area of your player board are moved onto a HUB card in the Solar system rather than your city leave card. This means they are effectively removed from your pool of workers. Your four permanent starting workers cannot be used for these actions. Apart from this though, they are identical to all other workers of their kind.
      Hopefully this clarifies things but if not please don't hesitate to reach out again. Thanks!

    • @ericchristiansen5921
      @ericchristiansen5921 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cogitodesign not really, I was more asking about the first turn, because the instructions say to put the 4 permanent workers on your board and not in the bag. I tend to take instructions very literally, so since I was never told to put those tokens into the bag (to my knowledge) since they would occupy all the available spaces anyway. It makes sense that as you buy workers you would refill the bag and have more options. This whole process was somewhat unclear to me, but watching other people actually play on youtube helped a lot.

    If you start with 4 bases on your card and can only place 4 bases per game then is the only purpose of buying another base to secure the bonus action by then building it?

    • @cogitodesign
      @cogitodesign  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mark, you can build more than 4 bases per game. As a stretch goal we unlocked the base mini expansion which added the possibility to buy bases using the trade action (on the Hensler IPTC card). When/if you buy your 5th or 6th base they go onto an empty space on your player board and then can be used as normal. Apologies for the confusion- enjoy!
