I'll remember all the shadows of those who changed behind their Logo's. It's fine, I'm just not going to be sad for something that was no longer there. People make Games and people come and go. I hope soon a new generation takes over, who is as passionate as all the originals were. Be like Nintendo. Look after your Developers and give them long carriers. Let the Seniors Guide and the young, inspire ❤
Ubisoft has made notable contributions to the gaming industry and left its mark, their era of significance have passed. At this point, they appear to have little to no value to offer. If they were to go out of business tomorrow, it wouldn’t matter much to me. AC Syndicate was the last game I bought from them.
They certainly have made their mark over the many decades of service 🙂 That said, currently they are a Ghost of their former selves. AC Syndicate still looks amazing visually. My favourite entry is actually Odyssey
It really is!! Self destruction when they could instead be killing it 😐 Big changes will happen soon and especially after shadows. Whatever happens, hopefully the franchises can be saved
Yea, it's a shame really, farcry is one of my favourites, and even though everyone bagged it, but I like starwars outlaw's. I'm a little biased because it's starwars. Have you plans on playing the aliens VR this month George?
Hey I'm still glad you enjoyed it! 🙂 I enjoyed Far Cry 6 and have been looking forward to Far Cry 7. I'm not confident in Ubisofts ability to deliver currently and especially what they plan on doing with the story though. A Major change will happen with Ubisoft shortly, so all we can do is watch and hope for the best. That Game is looking really cool! I need to get back into VR. I have some health stuff that prevents me from playing as much as I would like but hopefully can return soon 🙂 Will you be getting the Game?
@GamingMyWholeLife oh brother, hope your health gets better 🙏 I didn't realise farcry 7 was in the works? Also when you do get back into VR behemoth is AAA also👍
@@heavybrett-al4082 Thank you very much!! It's the reason why sometimes I upload lots of videos and other times a week or 2 passes. Far Cry 7 I simply assume has been in the works. I don't think Ubisoft has ever confirmed it? yeah, thanks for the reminder ~ I've been really looking forward to that one as well! Especially, since it's from the saints and sinners devs :D
Yeah this whole ordeal has been depressing. This could have been the coolest game ever if they could have just focused on what made the game good. That's all Gamers want nowadays
It's why I'm against these Activists soo much. They don't care about the Games they are working on, the IP's the destroy and entire development teams that fall. Ubisoft should be laughing to the bank, while expanding what is possible in video games. It's always been a treat, even with bugs to at least see the future of Gaming through them. Pushing how big games can be and the visuals in Odyssey and especially the first time I saw Origins blew me away. Now, it's about setting themselves on fire for the culture war and blaming us for the heat, lol. Shadows should have been the biggest and easiest win. Such a sad story but brought about themselves. We just want good Games
I'd say it's their lack of willing to branch off to do something different is what killed them (among the microtransaction BS) as they always made sequels to franchises with little to no additions to make them stand out as well as their eagerness to go open world and bloat them to hell when there's no meaningful or entertaining content to justify it (when compared to something like GTA or Red Dead Redemption). The last Ubisoft game I finished was Immortals: Fenyx Rising and while it wasn't amazing, it was still a fun time that showed that they can still make a good game but didn't bother with a sequel and I even got Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown this year (twice) which I think is a solid game, even if it's not what most people wanted in a PoP game but the bad marketing really soured it which is sad since there were plans for more content and a sequel but the heads at Ubisoft cancelled that and put the devs to work on Beyond Good & Evil 2, a game that has been in development hell for much longer than DNF, it's just depressing. Ubisoft needs to stop and do better.
Agreed, There are a lot of areas for ubisoft to improve and they are certainly guilty of often playing it too safe. More creative AA efforts would also be welcome
It's a shame😔 But at least we have some good news! Legacy of kain Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered is being released today!😊 Will you be doing a video on it George?
I've been thinking about it a lot lately. Wondering if I should be sad and the fact its not just Ubisoft going down this destructive oath. I think I'll honour the former memories and former greats of the company. Right now, they are but a shadow of their former selves and its a bit ironic AC Shadows might be the final failure, lol. I bought the Game and will start playing it today. If I come up with a fun idea for another video, I shall certainly put one together 😃 Was thinking if the Camera mode is really good, maybe showing a collection of the coolest snaps 😎
I dislike seeing them go, but i gotta be honest, black flag was the last time i had fun with their ep, i dislike what they have become and what they represent so if they are gone tomorrow it wouldn't be noticable on the grand scale and I wouldn't care as much. It's a shame but a lot of devs lost my support in the last decade. At this point my list of good devs is mostly indie or aa orianted. Wish them the best in the future regardless.
I agree, it's never a good thing when any company fails and with them their IP's vanish. All Games have fans and there is enough room in our industry for everyone to get what they want. Examples like Ubisoft are bitter sweet because it's chaos they brought on themselves. People didn't loose interest in their Games, at least not at a scale which would cause shut down but they have steadily been moving away from even attempting at putting fans first. Fans are why these companies are a success and wealthy in the first place. A good and small list of great devs is all we need 🙂 Hopefully it expands but everyone reaps what they sow. I'm sure even new talent will be born and fill in these Games but nothing can take away great adventures that have already happened. First time I played Far Cry, Assassins Creed, Splinter Cell and countless others will always be remembered ^__^
Forever and ever!! ❤ The social politics and culture war is only about division. We only need to look at the results of how everyone is today to see that. Also these companies seriously need to stop letting their workers mouth off online. I'd put it in their contracts. I have no doubt even in Ubisoft, there are good people just trying to get by.
Ubisoft was great once, I have all their best titles. Beyond Good & Evil, Splinter Cell, Rayman, Prince OF Persia, Rainbow Six, South Park, but the people who made THOSE games don't live at Ubi any more, it's been overrun with activists so I'll say a good riddance and hope a new and creative studio blossoms from their closure.
So when they cannabolise and sell IPs all the games will be delisted . I have a lot of Ubi soft games that will be taken from my library cause they are digital purchases. Already said clearly we don't own the games . So I'll lose 1000s of dollars of games due to sale. The crew 2 is gone ASAP. Wait and see .
It could certainly have an ugly outcome if the new owners do not want to play nice by provide alternative hosting solutions 😐 Or we get lucky and Ubisoft as a brand stays but new people are pulling the strings with a renewed focus on making great Games 😁
I'll never forget the memories and I hope one day we will get some new ones, but it won't happen with those currently in charge. Feels like that will change very soon...

Thx ubisoft for ac, farcry, pop francise and a good childhood memory
Gone but not forgotten 🙂

I would rather make videos talking about my excitement for Games, lol

@@GamingMyWholeLife I've heard good things about Odyssey, maybe I'll pick it up and try it out this Christmas.
Definitely at the very least worth a try!
Me and my wife loved it ^__^
Nintendo will however not hesitate to sue individuals into oblivion.. 😏
There lawyers are another category, lol
it’s sad it’s like watching dave and busters shutdown or toys r us

@@GamingMyWholeLife That would be an awesome video my friend 🙂👍🏻
Loving Soul reaver already!! Spending lots of time in Camera mode, so I think the video will happen Hahaha
I think Assassin's Creed Valhalla was the last Ubisoft game bought. And that was because it was a launch title for ps5
Last AC Game I enjoyed was Odyssey.
Far Cry 6 I actually liked and even did a video on it. Very pretty, reminded me of Far Cry 3 visually : )
