Great video as always Joe! Let me know if you ever make it over to New England...I’m down for an AT trip! Spent my afternoon tooting as well...unfortunately no echo though 😞
Honesty the main part of why i adore ur vids are the cooking! I love to watch u make the food and eat it and i love how ur in the wild doing it. Also im sorry your dog passed away. 😢
Joe I have been watching you for years and I think that I can say for everyone that we all miss Scout. Please get the store up and running and I will buy stuff from you for sure.
Great video, nice quality! Oh man we cried 😢 when you showed the Scout key ring.. dude I know you miss him but we do as well. We didn't show my daughter the video about him passing away... She keeps asking so we had to tell her... She cried. Save travels and keep building my friend!
Never been camping ...been watching you non stop for about a month and a half...I can't get enough of your show...makes me feel like maybe I can do it...miss scout he made it so funny
I would like to say thank you Joe. Your videos help me. Its tought me how to build shelters with me currently being homeless. And learn things about using what I have
There were some well thought-out sequences here. Nice angles. Good framing. It made for smooth viewing 😊 There's so much great production coming from bushcraft now. I've been watching this genre for about 4 years, and it's so impressive to see the quality rise to creator content being far superior to tv 💜 Just returned from two nights of severe weather in the New Zealand bush. Relaxing to this is sweet 😎 Thank you Joe. Love to the fam ✌️😊
Hi Joe. I just found your TH-cam videos a few days ago. I am 67 years young and have always loved camping. Although I hope to never be stranded and need to build emergency shelter, I am confident I could. Your videos are great. Keep up the good work. An outdoors girl in Washington state, USA.
Amazing how many of us had the same thought when the woods went quiet - Sasquatch in the area? Even those of us who don't quite believe in it, might still wonder - - - -Peek-a-boo! The fort is coming along - every boy's dream who ever played in the woods! Thank God some of us still have that dream, even into our 70's! As always, stay safe!
The FORT!!! I love it. Will be 71 end of month and love to build forts in (our) woods with the boys. Can smell the bacon about 800 miles southish of you.
Only started watching recently, and never thought id find this sort of thing very interesting. I've legit spent the past three weeks watching you in whatever time I have available and have nothing but love for what you're doing. Really appreciate the hard work you put in, and the content you produce from it.
It's awesome that you are working towards developing your own line of camping gear, as well as, maintaining your merchandising. You have worked, so hard & so long, to be where you are at today and I can only imagine how exciting it all must be. KUDOS!
Scout is always with you Joe. He has been to the fort with you. He is running on top of the deep snow and not sinking in because he is as light as the air. Great content brother. Thanks for taking us with you.
Came across you in my recommended list and i'm glad I did. First video I watched of you was dated back November 30th, 2016 and I watched it through to the end and was not disappointed to say the least. Watching you intrigued me to continue watching and motivated me to try and do more adventurous stuff in the near and late future. Again i'm glad I came across you and i'm excited to see what else you provide in videos yet to come! Thank you for the entertainment and education you present through your videos and stay safe on your adventures :)
Don't worry about the time spent on the flint n steel. You had to make your point across on how to use it properly. Worth et. Thanks Joe! This brings back memories when I built my army forts and tree huts in my backyard when I was growing up. Grandma did not like me digging trench lines in her garden not so much.
I have this strange habbit, I play this video game called ark survival evolved and watch joe's videos ALWAYS on the side. This must by my 3rd time to watch this specific one but I don't mind. They just keep playing on my second monitor in a random order and I love it!
another great video joe! it’s funny that you are thinking about hanging a hammock in your shelter because i’m thinking about doing the same thing in mine! i started my bushcraft videos because of you! thanks joe!
@@hs8333 I'm sorry but I have no clue how you think he is fake, he isn't farting to be funny, people fart bud, and he most obviously is doing what he wants and what he thinks will be good content, and the thing you said about wanting to make money, he just had a baby, baby's are very expensive, and he "plugs his own merch" because he has a lot of new subs or people that very obviously don't know about him having the patches, you're just hating to hate and there is no reason for that.
Hashir Sherwani I have to disagree with you.. this is his job he as to make money. in my opinion he has not changed. I been watching for I think 3 years now he was around 300,000 subs I think. buy yeah like one person said he just had a baby, and new people too, it's not like he's telling you to buy it all the time like Jake pual does/did (idk I stopped watching him a year and a half or more ago.) also its not like he doesn't enjoy what he's doing and just does it for money. he likes doing this stuff so he makes videos of it and things of ideas to make it interesting and new.
Lovin this series! Thank you for all you do Joe. As a guy who spends 40 hours a week in an office working with software, it's extremely nice to have these videos to relax to. Sure do miss scout, but it's awesome that your brand/logo will always be there to remind us of him.
Wow joe great to see u getting back in your groove I live in Georgia it’s 72 degrees here with spring in full bloom to see that y’all still have that much snow on the ground blows this southern mans mind been praying for you and your family on the loss of scout I know the feeling. To see your youngest daughter in the video she has grown so much well thx again for your time I’ve learned a lot from your videos take care And God bless. Dave from Georgia. PS Fort looking great also.
I was perplexed. The video quality is stunning in B&W, and the logo is in green at the bottom corner, which clued me in on this being intentional. It is really sharp in B&W. I love it!
Great vlog! The camp is looking good. As I was watching the video I was thinking of how much you must miss having Scout by your side, and then you started to talk about him... it got me all emotional! He will always be with you wherever you go, as the memories will last a lifetime. Looking forward to your next video. Joe, thanks for sharing!
The Fort is really coming together. Nice to see you uploading more often watching your vids puts my mind at ease after working all night...it's therapeutic ha
That’s a pretty nice fort. I’ve been following you since you started working on it. Reminds me of a lot of really fun forts my family built back in North Dakota in the 70’s. But I must say, I think you have too much confidence in that paracord holding it all up on one end. It would be much safer to have your ridge pole behind the big tree so the lean to is pushing toward it. What do you think? I sure love your channel man. Thanks for the gear tips. 👍🏻👍🏻
Well, I was just kidding about the Sasquatches. It's not a joke about Scout being there and it just may be that is what it was. I miss Scout so much and it's hard to lose such a companion.

You inspire me so much Joe, so much so, that I've started to build my own fort type thing, nowhere near as good as yours, but I'm using skills I've learnt from you to help me out! Although, admittedly it's a lot harder to do in England, as there's not too many places you can cut trees down to do this. Keep up the good work!
Next video SHOULD be myself and 2 other youtubers on a camp, possibly a rainy, snowy camp, look out for it!
Announcement getting closer...
Hell yeah, cant wait. Any hints of who the 2 youtubers are gonna be? Lol

If you flip every other log end for end, the taper of the logs would even out and make the top and bottom equal width.

@Graden Sorensen Why would you attack me for no reason?
Regardless, sarcasm is misplaced here because I AM big and smart. :-)

The Leave No Trace organization also strongly discourages the use of thin diameter cordage for suspensions. The weight difference isn’t much either.
