Its amazing how much you can actually find on TH-cam * Oh its the only video without overtakes but still 3 minutes just driving :)
When I was a kid, McLaren was Can Am and Denny Hulme. I don't recall seeing anything more about McLaren's Can Am days other than the Goodwood crash. Can Am was the fastest racing series until the Penske Porsche 917 open cockpit car blew everyone away and the series died from lack of competition.

After Japan 1989, Senna threatened to quit F1 and went back to Brazil whilst disappearing from the media during the summer break. I just think sometimes that if mclaren had managed its relationships with mercedes a bit better they would have still been partners for a few more seasons and inevitably win more championships. Oh I would love to see mclaren back on top again considering this season was such a let down.
I’ve got old footage of the lady wigram trophy here in my city which was part of the trans-am series. Clark, Mclaren, Surtees Brabham, Moss and many other well know faces can be seen. I wish I could have experienced that, closest I got was meeting Lando and Yuki and Lance when they did the New Zealand Gp but they weren’t in F1 at the stage of course.
The MP4/4 to MP4/8 are my favorite livery and Chassis’s ever… I mean does it get any better I know the people might say the Jordan 191 or the Ferrari 641 or even the Williams FW13 to FW15c actually all those late 80s early 90s car to me are still the best looking F1 cars ever…
I'd love if they admitted that the chevron is modern version of the original kiwi logo. I get that the company is no longer kiwi but that's its history
