Over the course of 4 months and a half I worked on this side project during my Twitch streams while occasionally incorporating audience suggestions as I animated. I can't remember what inspired this story to come about, but it certainly was something I wanted to get done. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it!

fun fact: the reason the elevator said "floor does not exist" is because most hotels and apartments do not have a 13 floors. which is pretty cool attention to detail
ALSO!! cool detail, 13 is considered an unlucky number and could mean death in some places, which is why many buildings dont have a 13th floor

I just noticed how the small dude was unhappy all the time whilst the demon was living in the house, and then he had an evil smug when he finally got rid of him. The attention to detail is astounding.
Also the demon summoning book was from him so he was the one who started the party

I had a dream like that about a mirror where my eyes weee so big in the deeam
as i watched the funky little outro dance i realized something about the person making these, who i'll henceforth refer to as 'you'.
you've been on my radar for a longer time now; a couple years, maybe. i've never subscribed, never watched much of your content - you could make wonderful, cozy little animations like "stamped" or make (at least to me) pure nightmare fuel, like your birthday videos.
and rewatching this, well.. it's made me realize you're probably the purest animator out there. no part of your content aims for a particular vibe - it all feels as if you make the stuff you want to make, as if you treat this channel as your very abstract diary, your visual blog of sorts. sometimes it's extremely disturbing, sometimes it's wholesome - and so is life.
i feel an immense amount of respect for your using the internet the way it was meant to be used; enough to write this comment that i doubt you'll ever read, in fact. you don't seem to have a need for us, and i'm glad for that.
and as to what my point here was - "SLEEPY TOM" is the video that sums up your channel best, i think. it's got some weird imagery, sure - but at the end of the day, the feeling it seems to cause within most people is one of coziness. and after looking at your whole channel that way all i've left to do is to subscribe, i'd say.
thank you for letting me get a little peek inside your mind for free, stranger. i don't think i'll ever actually get to know you, but the guided tour's always immensely interesting

I like how the characters sway at different speeds at the end, out of sync. They’re not dancing perfectly, but that doesn’t matter, because they’re dancing together. Beautiful artwork and fantastic film.

This is so fucking incredible, dude. Going through a breakup from someone I was with for a year, knew for much longer. So much about this video just feels good to me. Seeing the 2 lil characters bond, seeing Sleepy Tom open up more of themselves as they go, and just seeing them get on and the joy they have. Sleepy Tom having to put their foot down when things go too far, the self respect and pain of it. The bad dreams after and that sense of absence as shown by the dog. Then that ending. I'd love the comfort that those feelings are from a misunderstanding, and the little fantasy of acceptance and rekindling like nothing happened, and getting to move on together. I'm moving on solo, no misunderstandings, but I like to see Tom doing well and I hope one day I'll join them by having a little domesticity of my own down the line with someone I can bond with again. Just keep moving.

God this reminds me about how when I was real young and Slenderman was getting popular I always just figured he was lonely and needed a friend. Had imaginary video gaming sessions with him and everything just having a fun time together. Fantastic animation work I love the style and its always a joy to see typically scary or unsettling things being real friends.
