I've followed this channel on and off since the first video I saw on it (the first prison video).
It's been a huge inspiration, and, as someone who isn't even that interested in Minecraft prisons, I loved seeing all of the effort that was went through, how elaborate the prisons and escapes were, and the film-making was some of the best I had seen (and have seen) in MCYT.
Anyway, I'll definitely miss seeing the uploads on this channel, and I wish you the best with where your life takes you, Sven.

You have inspired with this trend so much but even I lost my interest in the prison community over a year ago when I couldn't keep up with the redstone anymore, afterall I've never been a professional redstoner. Though my lore series also started from the prison videos and it evolved to something else from that and even though currently thats also struggling right now. Im thankfull for all the friends ive made along the way.

man sad to see the prison trend die tbh i mostly watched mythrodak/Ivory when the trend was still in the middle of its life but you were the one who made a lot of those prisons and it was fun to see how they could be escaped and why each one was harder then before so gl to ur next channel and film makin!

I’ve only been on TH-cam a few years and the first year I started watching videos I saw a prison escape video on Poseidon’s vault and then at least a while I watched every person video, I could find so thank you for that hopefully your new channel works out and I wish you the best of luck

yes i used some tracks from celeste, since i love the soundtrack. the one at the end is called farewell (fitting i know haha) and the first one should be mirror temple

Sven, thank you for everything and thank you for this accidental trend you started. I remember watching your video about Poseidon's Vault and getting so inspired to make a prison better than yours, and this was the first time I made a proper video on my channel. I hit 100K subscribers this week, and if it wasn't for those prisons you made, I might have never started making videos seriously on TH-cam. I wouldn't have achieved this dream of mine to reach this milestone or have met a lot of friends that I met back when I was making prisons.

The scope is not too clear to me myself, i guess i just have to see what works. it is however save to say that i have over 100+ video topics i want to cover eventually, and they range from a simple "how does X even work?" to "do we even exist?" to "why it is impossible to make grape ice cream". So yeah, there is loads to come haha

I can not put into words how much unfathomable respect I have towards you as a person, Sven. I've been a fan of you ever since I saw the basis of the Minecraft Prison Community, I really liked all the stories you created with your videos and the way it all progressed... And I was slightly sad when you completely stopped uploading. I might've not been the most active viewer of you, but the thing that *you* created did leave a significant impact and seeing you vanish without a trace was strange. So long has passed that I've almost forgotten about your channel's existence, but the seeds you planted all those years ago - The seeds that are still growing to this day, are still a significant part of not only me and your other fans of yours, but the ENTIRETY of this here funky block game's community in general, and I am nothing but thankful for that, for creating something this big and important and impactful, even if you ceased to interact with it for a long time (By the way your part in Neon Void is spectacular, even if relatively small, and I am glad that it finally eternalized your legacy as a prison creator). I really dislike the entire prison community split and the drama that ensued around this specific prison, I felt it was really toxic and one-sided (Even from the perspective who supported *that* one side of the argument, that being Kenadian), but outside that Neon Void is still a masterpiece of project and truly a pinnacle of Minecraft Prison design. It truly looks insanely grand, imposing and impressive even from the outside, if you ignore how much of a technical feat it is. Even if it ultimately never saw the light of day (Rest in pieces) and even if it never could have been truly inescapable, it is still nonetheless a beast of an art/technical project, even if just for the novelty's sake.
Otherwise, I did mention I held infinite respect for you and I do! Even outside of the way you created something this big, massive and influential, you are really good at what you were doing, that being the actual videos. Your video production quality is very high, the way you said you've been studying cinematography is bloody amazing, good luck in that front, the fact that you mostly neglected the whole gaming and Minecraft prison thing you are ultimately the founder of, to focus on the real life studies is actually really respectable and overall, you just seem like such a nice guy all in all! Good luck to your future escapades you legend, even if they won't be related to the one impressive thing you've created thus far, the way you found your footing in video essays is really exciting, I love video essays in general (I'm much of an essay guy myself) and your high quality editing style more than supports top notch video essays.
I know you won't see this, much less read through it all, but in the off-chance you do, sorry for how scuffed and silly this text blob is, I genuinely have no idea what came over to me.

The prison building content fueled at least 25% of my life throughout 2020- early 2023. Thank you for giving me inspiration, allowing me to find my favorite parts of Minecraft, and giving me entertainment. even if he doesn't see this, I want to put it out there. I only got about halfway done with Hephaestus's vault before I lost all hope and accidentally destroyed it. I really miss this trend but in his own words, _it was fun while it lasted_ I'm definitely going to watch Scattered Dice, and I hope he can continue to fulfill his dream there. Although, I must ask, why did he start a new channel instead of rebranding this one?

Hey Sven, I haven't really dabbled in minecraft youtube for a long time now and I just randomly stumbled upon your video. I know I'm coming here 3 months late but I just wanted to say that you really brought a lot of people together through your contribution to the minecraft community. And before I leave and probably never come back to this channel again I just wanted to say that We are all proud of you.
The thing I find really fascinating with the minecraft prison community is the arbitrary restrictions that emerged naturally and ended up becoming fundamental in how they were conceptualized despite having no real reason behind them.
Like, on one side there are roleplay features like "visiting processes" or simply the prisonner having to willingly enter the prison, aswell as guards that would hypothethically guard a prison, so just generally a lot of make believe. But at the same time the defense don't try to defend in a roleplay way, they exploit bugs in the fabric of reality.
Like, in the mind of prison builder a prison being "humane" is better. BUT it's totally legitimate to completely nuke the entire world out of existence to keep a prisonner safe. Imagine if real life prison had a system that summoned a blackhole that engulfed the solar system if a prisonner escaped lol.
The whole thing is littered with things like that, it's such a weird insular community with it's own idiosyncracies, and I'm not saying that to disparage the concept, I just find it truely fascinating.it's like a microcosme of how tradition emerge where people follow them for their own sake forgetting why they were implemented or how arbitrary they are.
Greatly put, and funny if you express it like this haha, it really is strange

sven, one of the most fun things ive ever done is making minecraft prisons with one of my friends. those prisons are some of the most amazing things ive done in my life and i would be lying to everyone if i said that they werent deeply inspired by you. since posseidon's vault ive been dedicated to making a minecraft prison and once i saw gaia's vault, i knew the time had come. you are the reason that ive found fun in the intricacies of minecraft and although it is sad to see you go, i hope that whatever you do next will be just as good if not better than what you have already done for us. thank you sven, from me, and from the rest of the community. :)
p.s. as a celeste player who has almost finished farewell, that final part of the video with the farewell last screen song really hit differently. amazing choice of song.

Back in November 2021 I wanted to make a parody prison called “Some random Greek god’s vault” which was intentionally horrible. I finished building it but before I could record a video of it I accidentally deleted the world, and lost motivation to rebuild it. I can’t imagine what these people had to go through…

Everything I write here is or will be in another comment, so I don't have any other thing to say, just thank you for the prisons and everything.
One of the things that hits me hard about this is that you've done so much for the community, effectively built a whole subsection of redstone builders all about making elaborate traps, and you're just a year younger than me lmao. It always sucks to see that what you've worked so hard to achieve not give you the satisfaction or joy that you wanted, but if I took anything away from Unus Annus (memento mori for those that were there) it's okay to let go and move on. You can take your knowledge and apply it elsewhere now and do something that'll be way more enjoyable for you. Keep up the good work, Sven. There is still much more to be Seen :p
Also, with the new Cop Flop (copper bulb) and the Crafty Crafter Counter (auto crafter) a lot of the redstone wiring can be way more compact now. The speed of innovation on both sides is fairly rapid, so it's 100% an arms race. I'm not sure if minecraft prisons will get a resurgence from these, but the sister community of minecraft escape rooms will for sure get a boom from it.

Good luck on future endeavors, it's certainly bold to step away from where you grew, but making content that you enjoy is the essense of TH-cam, so as long as you have fun making the content, i'm sure it will be great!

To be honest, I never knew or watched this channel, but was a mythro (ivory) fan. I recognised that player skin from his videos and thought,, what happened to Sven. But when I heard the fact that the team had to abandon more than an year worth of work behind their dream project just because they couldn't acheive the perfect model, that brought tears to my eyes. Hope you all find something you can dedicate your lives to as you have done here, and take it to completion.

Hi Sven, idk if you remember me, but I was the guy that made Zeus's vault, MiMorais, I remember just watching your video about Poseidon's Vault and just thinking, hum maybe I can make my own. So in the next month I built that prison and published it, it was escaped in like a minute or so but it still was a good time.
