I bought this lens in about 1991 used and it was in use on a Minolta x700 until 2010 when I went to a digital Nikon , I may use it on mirrorless in the future as they are great lenses.
I have the Celtic version. My first "vintage" lens. About 30 bucks two years ago. I thought I had sharpening turned up on my Fuji X when I saw my first shot. Nope.
Have you tried any Takumar lens and how does this lens perform if you compare? I guess most Japanese lenses are quite good? Thanks! Just bought this lens and I’ve got a Canon 5d and a Olympus 4/3 but I don’t know what mount this lens got. Need to buy the right adapter… 🤔
@@randymcatee i just picked up this lens but I wasn’t sure if the Takumar were superior to this one but I found this in what looked like excellent condition! Though! I’ve not been able to try it out since I haven’t bought any adapter yet but what I was wondering about was the focusing and that doesn’t really run silky smooth but with a little “tension” and when turning it and looking through the lens I can’t see any movement more than that the tube is extending…🤔 may the lens be broken? 🤔 I’m new to photography so I don’t know all ins and outs!
I use both auto focus and manual focus on the camera, depending on what I'm shooting and what lens I'm using. The Minolta 135mm lens in this video is from the '60's and doesn't have auto focus capability so all the images (and video) you see in this video were taken using manual focus.
