Hey Excotics Lair I´m Florian a German Pet Rats owner and I would like to give you some tips. The Rat you found is a Pet Rat that was exposed from it´s owner (wild Rats are way bigger) and she looks very stressed and scared. After Rats gave Birth the Mother is very stressed and scared easily so the best thing you can do at the Moment is slowly take out the T-Enclosure and lure the Mother down with a snack ( a grape or a little cube of cheese should work) and then slowly lay down the babys near the Mother give them a Towel and a Bottlecap full of Water so the Mom can calm down a bit and won´t die to dehydration. When the Ratbabys open their eyes they are ready to put them inside of an empty enclosure with the Mother and bring them to a Pet Store but tell them to not separate the Mother from the Babys otherwise the Babys will die. I live on a farm and we just have nuclear waste lying around. Anyway rats get into the nuclear waste all the time and grow to the size of fully grown cows! Then they breed and you've got like 200 cow sized rats running around. They even ate my adopted son, he was chinese so it was no biggy. But still super annoying. Hate rats.
i love how every episode there is like this huge drama, "OMG, i cant believe... AND it was my *inserts super long species name for a tarantula*", and then in every episode theres always a comment thats like, "i have a extreme fear of spiders, but watching your video and seeing how you talk to them, calms me down so much that i went to Petsmart and bought 5."
I thought that too! They poop more than their size. Something they had in common with my dog🤦♀️🤦♀️ I used to have pet rats and I always wondered where they stored all that poop. I'm convinced they hid it until I've cleaned out the cage to toss it around as I turned my back 🤣🤣

Jaky D Rats are actually dirty and can have any disease such as a bat..Tarantulas under your care tend to eat cockroaches or something that has disease but destroys all diseases with its stomach acids.
Well, wild rats are a lot more aggressive than spiders and are swift to inflict harm when they feel threatened, plus they carry germs and disease, soooo... :')

Well when you think about it the rat has chosen the most secure place for her to give birth. First she scoped the place and saw that there was food and all the animals were in enclosures. Think about it there is no snakes there, and while the T are dangerous for her pinkies they are secured. Case and point she gave birth on a Tarantula cage
Theres a difference between a disgusting disease carrying rat than a natural food chain animals that kill the diseases and rid the world of pesky rodents

Rat in video looked like a normal healthy rat and she would need to be healthy to give birth to healthy childrens like us humans since we both mammals. Never good to give exotic snakes rats or mice you find outside. They could have parasites amongst other things that could potentially kill the snake.
