@chichi7078-i I have a tight texture and that usually doesn't happen, idk if it has something to do with my density since I have a decent amount of hair. When I stopped rope twisting it definitely helped though. So I wonder if it's because on the more extreme end of tighter kinks and coils just compact in a style more due to how tight the curls are. Cuz I do find that people who are in the middle or not at the extreme poles tend to have their hair swell more.
I just finished twisting my hair. It took me 4 hours compare to 7 lol. Im getting faster. Ive been doing twist since July and its the best decision ever. I keep my twist out with 2 pony tails in the front. I wake up and just sprintz with water and go. I keep it in for a month. Your hair is soo thick and juicy. I cant wait until I get to this length 😍🫶🏾
I really enjoyed this video. Regarding the flakes, my scalp use to flake up like that every week which ment once a week I had to wash my hair. I learned recently that some people have a scalp condition that starts with an "s". I don't remember the name now and I don't feel like looking it up. But this scalp condition comes from a fungus that lives on the scalp and it feeds off of oil. If your oiling your scalp so often and if you have this scalp condition it could be why your experiencing flakes once a week. After I learned this, instead of leaving the hair oil on my scalp, I apply the oil hours to my scalp before I wash it. Yes I do feel like I'm wasting the oil because I'm not letting it sit for as long as i want it to but I do feel my hair oil working during the time it's on my scalp and I do have less flakes. It's something you might want to try. This way you can leave your twists in longer than a week without worrying about flakes.
Probably Seborrheic Dermatitis more than likely. I suffer from that as well and have been for some time. It’s just a milder case of scalp Psoriasis although the two aren’t synonymous.
An early Happy Birthday to you, Ashley, and thank you so much for this super informative video! I truly appreciated, enjoyed, and learned so much! All your tips were absolutely helpful, and I will definitely try them out in my weekly routines. Thanks again, sister! God bless and reward you for all your efforts! Sending much love and support 😘
You are so sweet!!! Thank you so much for your comment🥹 I’m glad that this video was helpful. I hope it makes your routine a bit easier. God bless you and I appreciate your support a TON!! You have no idea💖💐
Hey.. since you haven't seen the dermatologist as yet re your scalp, try Sunny Isle' s castor oil with tea tree (I mix it with their peppermint one) and apply it to your scalp every couple days. It may feel heavy on your scalp sometimes but it helped me and i figure it may help you too. Also be very mindful of skincare products settling on your hairline etc because they tend to be very drying and also cause scalp flaking as a result.
these mini twists are peak hair envy omg,,,, this is what my twists look like with a pack and a half of braiding hair LMAO out of curiosity, have you ever tried/considered washing your hair in mini twists and retwisting them after deep conditioning? a cousin of mine with thick hair like yours put me on this recently and no joke i think it saved me almost a full hour of my day 😳
i don't recall whose video i saw, but they were informed by their stylist that the synthetic bands on those type of bonnets were responsible for the irritation and hair loss atound her hairline. try a different scarf for a while to see if it makes a difference. good luck! 👍🏾
Hi! Your hair is beautiful! I recently got a trim and my hair went from gliding thru with the comb to fighting to get through the ends with a comb. It’s actually acting like it needs a trim but it’s been doing this since the trim. Do you have any idea what could have happened?
If my hair looked that full when i twist my hair i would wear it like that all week but it doesn’t so i take them out lol and wear my twisted fro 😭. I hope that doesn’t keep me from maintaining length.
I have yet to see a specialist about my scalp as well. I don’t want to project or speak any conditions on your situation into existence but it sounds like you may have Seborrheic Dermatitis and I also have been dealing with that for quite some time. Oil will just make it worse giving that it’s a fungus on the scalp that feeds off the oil because the dermatitis forms from an excess of our naturals in our scalp already so added oils make it worse, very itchy and super flaky. I’m sure you’ll receive this information soon but try avoiding products with coconut oils and I know it is very difficult trying to do that seeing as though just about everything have it but just apply it to your strands instead of the scalp and use more tea tree and rosemary oil based products and cleansers for the scalp condition. Keep doing your thing, I’m a supporter 👌🏽. I hope it helps! 🩷

I am a 2-strand girlie too. It definitely helps me with length retention. You have beautiful hair.
Like u don't know the amount of confidence u have given me on my hair I love you 😘
This means everything to me! I love you!!🥰💖
I wonder if the reason your hair swells up in twists sm because of your hair texture and density, it always surprises me 💖
It definitely has something to do with the density of my hair!🩷
It definitely does
It should swell like that if you don't twirl while twisting

@@Wallflowerxcnatural hair should swell when twisting, but having different textures and densities affect it.

Are you talking about psoriasis?
Probably Seborrheic Dermatitis more than likely. I suffer from that as well and have been for some time. It’s just a milder case of scalp Psoriasis although the two aren’t synonymous.
I too noticed that ny terribly itchy scalp stopped itching when I stopped putting oil on my scalp.

Think it was Mya’s stylist on Klassically Kept her TH-cam channel.
Try replacing your oil for rose water it helped my sons scalp tremendously!! He now goes two weeks with his braids and no itching or flaking.
Me,15 yrs old and started my hair journey
Can you speak to my 15 year old?😆🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I really enjoyed this video ❤❤you are gorgeous. Can't wait for the next one ❤
Love your content so much and you look so pretty ❤
Thank you so much!🥰🥰
Love it! This was very helpful
Your twist are beautiful how do you have them in the rope style Can you do a video slowing down how you twist the hair thank you
Hi Ashleyyyyy!! I have a question. Your hair looks so healthy, do you trim your ends and if so, do you think it’s the reason why your hair grows? 💗💗💗💗
Hi! Your hair is beautiful! I recently got a trim and my hair went from gliding thru with the comb to fighting to get through the ends with a comb. It’s actually acting like it needs a trim but it’s been doing this since the trim. Do you have any idea what could have happened?
Do you go to the same hairstylist for your trims ?
Just want to let you know that you're very very beautiful 😍 🤩 ❤❤ keep up the fun entertaining vlogs I enjoy each and every one of them
Not related, but you are so pretty 💕
How about trying to do cornrows braids?
So you go beauty, brains and hair huh
How long do you keep your twists in?
Hey are the microbeads biodegradable?
If my hair looked that full when i twist my hair i would wear it like that all week but it doesn’t so i take them out lol and wear my twisted fro 😭. I hope that doesn’t keep me from maintaining length.
It shouldn’t because this is my routine too. 😂 my hair is full enough for me but i like the curly fro.
That’s okay too! Twisting then wearing your fro doesn’t cause a lot of tension on the scalp so you should be fine with maintaining your length❤️ :)
You should be fine because I wear my hair out on twist out or braid out all 98% of the time.
where is the head wrap from because I can’t find it, can you send a link?
I bought it’s from my local beauty supply store years ago. Unfortunately there’s no link :( I’ll try to find something similar
I workout 6 days a week so mines are always messed up by day 4 😂
Pls how many inches is ur hair
By the way i look forward to reaching u 😊❤
