Complimentary gadgets make a big difference. I use stun grenades and glitch mines; Blinding the enemy at range means you can close the distance without taking too much damage, and fighting near a glitch mine disables enemy specialisations (which will prevent light opponents from grappling or dashing away)
While I love the theory I think it falls flat when applied specially when there is no gameplay against real players showing your own tips. Just constructive criticism
Definitely valid. Generally I like to keep things in the practice range just because it keeps the video shorter. 100% though some gameplay would help, eventually I'm gonna try to post a high kill game with every weapon to show off some of the stuff in these videos.
@CalmZinCombo I think both comments are equally valid here. I totally need to see it first in the range in a sterile environment. And yeah, sure afterward show it in the wild as it were, going ham on some unsuspecting players.
Hello! Dual blades main here, and although the video is great I have a few things to point out: 1. 2nd tip is actually useless in a real match. Most of the time you're going to be fighting one enemy at a time, and it's going to be running away from you, not around you. That bigger sens is only going to make it harder to track. 2. Deflect blocks 80% of the damage, but only 66% of meelee damage, which brings me to 3. How to play against meelees: don't. Your best bet is to a) run away and let your teammates take care of them or b) try to kill them before they kill you (usually not possible unlesd they are low / you attack first / they are using riot shield or dagger. Overall, good video, just thought I could point that things out for other people trying to learn how to master this weapon :)
Thanks brother! I'm with ya, they either make you feel like you're in the matrix, or like you're running at your enemies with two bundled up newspapers.
I love the funny moments when a light with any CQ guns rush a dual blade, like they're not sure if the bullet deflect hits back so they stop shooting for a while then try again(their backwards/strafe movement is also slower than your forward movement). weapon's a win, idc about tournament or casual match win as long as it proves its use even if its limited.
Theres time im directly facing my enemy and the bullets dont deflect nor are they very accurate. Also needs some sort of lunge because it’s extremely easy to counter. But ive seen a guy block two guys for a few seconds with the same blades so idk what thats about
Its cuz the deflect is server side or something like that so theres more latency to deflected shots. So you have to be EXTRA predictive in where youre deflecting the shots. Also deflecting on even ground with your opponent helps alot with consistency/ease.
Quick tip. For the lights, the second set of swings do more damage than the first (last time I checked). So, at least in the range, I can do the first set of swings away from the target (doable in game if you're chasing them), and then for the second swing, make sure those connect. Those will oneshot a light. I have yet to test this in the wild. It's very hectic in game, and I get a little hyper focused to really try 🤣. Lmk if anyone has managed this!
Goo grenades is a must choose, allows u to close between targets with less chance of reprisal. Jump pad is also a must for navigating and throwing a fight. Also u can swap between gadgets to open with the aoe swing if u need. Only ever quick melee after a combo unless you need to to finish. Also the "significant margin" that block reduces is 80%. Why you couldn't have googled that is beyond me, before making a vid. EDIT: I come off as very harsh on you and this is not my intention, all tips in this video are fully relevant to a d sword user.
I really think its all skill and the right gadgets. I typically get over 10 kills per match with tops 5 deaths. I run turret, grenades, defib and flash grenades. So I wouldn't not call these a miss by any means.
For sure! I'm actually in the process of testing the 93R and seeing what would make for a good video; although like you said, it definitely needs some love before I put anything out lol
Spent over 20 hours using the dual blades on pc and my No1 tip is "Wait till they get a buff" Do you have any proof or links to where the return fire is their hipfire fact? Because i know that this doesnt apply to bows and throwing knives but they projectiles so
Nope just speculation, however in my experience knives as arrows are more accurate than bullets. I'm almost certain the accuracy of deflected shots will be increased in the future though.
Is it just me, or does the deflect sometimes just not work?
Not just you. You're supposed to have a small window in front of you that deflects nearly everything, but the size of it glitches often apparently.

Thanks for the input, all valid points.
these are some very solid tips for dual swords! Using Zip-Line & Dual-Blades is Perfect synergy especially while holding down deflect!
Great video man, I've been waiting for this one. Love the idea of these but they r so tricky to use
Thanks brother! I'm with ya, they either make you feel like you're in the matrix, or like you're running at your enemies with two bundled up newspapers.
@@CalmZinCombo I feel like with the smallest adjustments this weapon could actually go crazy

Also Occams razor is running through the simplest solutions first in order of complexity, at least in this context.

Wanted to learn this one so it can go with the my ninja outfit
Thank you so much, I've been wating for this one, I love Dual Blades but I suck with them
Hope it helps! Good luck out there :D
Dual blades should be sble to block winch claw IMO

Dang I'll have to try that out!
i can confirm higher dmg on end of combo. i do exactly what you explained all the time chasing lights

Love the intro xDD
Hey, I'm playing on mouse and I can't set horizontal sensitivity, do I just set the general sensitivity?
Holy moly I didnt know you could hold down block and have it up immediately after slashing tysm
Really informative! can we expect a 93R guide once it gets buffed to the point where it's usable (hopefully soon)?
For sure! I'm actually in the process of testing the 93R and seeing what would make for a good video; although like you said, it definitely needs some love before I put anything out lol
I opt for jump pad over zipline to escape winch and roof hopping on Kyoto
zip and jump pad for me
That right there 0:31, is why I'm here 🤩

🔆: blades dont need a buff 💀
Tip #1
Don’t choose Dual Blades
The end.
