You don't have to tug the drawer out. If you move the see-through bit forward a bit it will press against the outside of the machine and release the drawer. You then need to just move the drawer out without tugging. It comes out very easily if you do it that way. But remember when you push the see-through bit forward don't press the button down or the basket will come out of the housing as you pull it out. Wait until you have removed the drawer/basket out and placed it on a surface before pressing the button.
