Thank you for a great tutorial! if I would cast on 178 stitches (instead of 168) to make it a bit bigger could I still use the pattern as it is? Like for armholes could I use the k1, skpo, k(88 instead of 78?), k2tog, k1, turn ? Using the same needle size and yarn.
Hi, can You explain how to do the right side of the neck, so I could achieve that nice edge like on the left side? My brain is hurting from trying to work it out :DD
From what it looks like, it looks like she does it as a way to make a nicer edge. I saw another knitter do this, but I can't remember what it was called for some reason. But basically, you knit onto scrap yarn and then pick up the yarn that's directly attached to the scrap yarn once you get to a certain point for the band/ribbing portion for it. Making it a double layer for the band afaik. Sorry if this was confusing!
I found the video! It's called "The perfect rib fabric 1x1 rib" by Knitting for Everyone! I just watched it not too long ago, so I looked it up real quick once it came to mind. I hope this helps with understanding better! I've never tried it, but I think I might try it soon for sure, though. Tell me what you think about it if you try it out! Also, you can look it up yourself if you don't trust TH-cam links! th-cam.com/video/rsmcMhiWb5E/w-d-xo.html
I want to add my input too lol! Idk if you figured it out yet (it’s been 3 years since this comment lol) but I’m knitting this piece right now. From what it looks like, the scrap yarn is used so that it’s easier to see the stitches when you are doing a folded hem. I’m still learning to knit and have done a folded hem before without scrap yarn and it’s difficult to see the stitches you’re supposed to pick up, so now I understand why scrap yarn is used! So much easier to see the stitches 😅
Ohhh love your videos and this top is very cute, but I have one question. On the Armholes the round of purl (p1, p2tog, k72 (it is really knit, because looking at the videos looks like purl from the back leg), p2tog tbl, p1, turn. Can you help me, please? thank you for your attention and thanks for sharing with us this patterns
At 16:45, by “all the stitches” do you mean until the original stitch marker? So truly all the stitches? Or do you mean up until where we had knit just knit the last 24?
when doing the armholes, it says knit/purl to the last three stitches, does that mean knit/purl until there are three stitches left not including the last decrease and last stitch or do the last three stitches include the decrease and final stitch. thank you so much if u could help
Are you wondering this because the count at 12:01 seems incorrect after the row before it at 10:46? Because if so, I agree that the count seems incorrect. Assuming the count is incorrect, the “three stitches” left must include the last decrease and last stitch because every time we turn we are including the last decrease and last stitch in the previous row as we start knitting/purling the next row, right??? I’m curious what you think since the author doesn’t seem to answer every question in the comments. Also, I’m relatively new to knitting (only been knitting for 2 weeks now) but an expert crocheter so i’m just using my crochet knowledge to make an educated guess. If i’m completely wrong, ignore me lol 😅
@@mayaegee this is so relatable i’ve just tried knitting after knowing sm crochet this was my first pattern. i think i ended up just assuming it counted the decrease even though i never figured the pattern out, it could just be me being a beginner but i couldn’t find a way to get the starting stitch amount to equal the end stitch amount honestly but closest i came was including the decrease
Hello ! Can you explain the abbreviations k kpo tbl pl tog... my English is approximate, and the terms in French are very different 😅 Thank you very much
If you look up the yarn she used it may give the gauge for that yarn and recommended needle/yarn size. With that information you can knit a swatch in the round or a 5"×5" swatch flat and that will give you your gauge then measure your under bust measure and divide the number inches by the number of the 4"×4" swatch
would you be able to post what other sizes to cast on. for medium large or extra large perhaps ?
I knitted it and it looks great! Ty sooooooooooooooo much for this pattern
I am happy that you liked it! :)
Thanks for video! I’ll try knit this crop!

Thank you so much, Ione. It’s definitely purl 72 🤦🏻♀️ my mistake.
@@handmadebyaura64 no problem 😉 thanks for the answer
I am fairly new at knitting but it seems that she is knitting in the back loop. Maybe i should try that because it looks a lot easier. 😊
How many stitches should i cast on if i want to make this top in size L or XL with same weight yarn?
I really nefes answer this question😇
It depends on your gauge and measurement.
Hi, beautyful top, but i want to ask you how can i make it size medium?
Hey. Oh it depends from yarn and needle size. Are you planning to use same yarn as I did?
@@handmadebyaura64 I am thinking of using Alize cotton yarn which is a sport weight yarn!
Hey can u explain left side neck. From ehich stitch should I start. ?
Can I knit this on straight needles I don't know circular needles

Does anyone have a gauge for this pattern? Looks great but I want to make sure I do it right!

If you wear size m, how much can you knit?
How do I get instructions for regular knitting needle.
I wanna ask, is there any reason why you use scrap yarn ?
and for parameters 118 , how many loops do I need ?
hello ! where do you buy your needles ? thx
Hey Alexandra. I buy my needles in www.woolwarehouse.co.uk :)
Do you have the pattern for other sizes
Why she always use scraps yarn to begin ?
I like the tutorial but I am a complete beginner and I did not understand ANYTHING, it was so fast
By The armholes you purl in de backloop? But you say purl
Every stitch you do in The backloop?
Size off nidle... 🙏
Sorry it's not a tutorial too fast to grasp complete waste 😭.
A cute top 🔝
