Hi When replacing the Reservoir itself, is the vehicle in the on position and WIS still on? Or do you disconnect both batteries to the car as well? I am replacing just the reservoir and bleeding same as in video also have STAR XENTRY. Thanks
When replacing it is necessary to deactivate SBC. do not remove the battery
This just came on for me, is it safe to drive? I don’t have the red warning or reduced power. I got an appointment to get it replaced through warranty through Mercedes but it’s 12 days out.
I unplugged the sbc unit to deactivate it so I can screw off the brake pressure accumulator. But it won’t screw off at all

Thanks! I missed that part of video before. So my accumulator has lost roughly 20 bars. I have to take SBC unit off to check condition of motor brushes so I think I'm going to replace accumulator at same time.

My guess is absolutely no. The SBC unit provides all the hydraulic pressure to the calipers, not the brake pedal.

What sumptuous did you have to replace SBC accumulator, I have some noise on the pump and I can feel through brake pedal, but I don’t have a warning light on dashboard SBC, I have a battery light on, I didn’t know if that could be related problems

Yes, red battery error, have new alternator replaced both battery’s but I think this noise out of pump started when battery light comes on.
Not sure if that has anything to do with a battery arrow.

I have the same question please: is it the same SBC Brake Pressure Accumulator for all Mercedes W211 (e270 cdi and e320 cdi) and the year from 2003 - 2006?
I'm not in USA no warranty. I got c2131 fault code. Tested accumulator and it has 117 bars of pressure 7 above limits between 69-110 anyone had the issue?

It's under warranty, contact your local dealership and they will replace it at no cost. The warranty is good until 2029

@Freedom yes now they have upped it to 25 years from the manufacturing date of the car. Call Mercedes and arrange for service or if you've already had it done then just submit receipts you don't have to own the car anymore just the proof that it had been done and you were the owner at the time

Mercedes extended the warranty on the SBC on the w211 to 25 years. I got a letter about it in the mail. If yours fails call the dealer and have them fix it for free.
