Uril is that deck you thought of building a while ago, forgot about it, got excited to see it in a Muddstah video so you can see how it performs, then dies first without doing much lol. Great video as always though!

Because his power grows so high so easily, power matters cards like Return of the Wildspeaker, Garruk, Primal Hunter, Soul's Majesty, and Rishkar's Expertise become pretty insane. There's also my personal favorite, Mayael's Aria, which serves as a good utility enchantment that eventually serves as a wincon for later. But yes, I'd say Sigarda is pretty much strictly better, I just like Uril more.

Small heads-up: Galazeth Prismari is misspelled as "Primsari" in the video title :) That Animar Deck really wrecked havoc. I had one two and even without the eldrazi, the commander is just so strong. I eventually took it apart because it's power level was just too high for my playgroup. so many infinite loops came up i hadn't even in mind when building it.
Uril would trample over animar dealing dmg to the player still. Animar can only block the amount of its toughness the rest still goes through just animar wouldn't take the assigned dmg

Not necessarely, sometimes you just run good. There was no board wipe either. Remember that Adam was playing one of Ryan's deck, so Ryan knew what power level the deck was.
@@plain6677 my ghalta deck also has draws so much so my LGS has labeled it as a CEDH deck its around 100 dollars but still thrashes every game keep in mind i made this deck as a causal deck but damn it just wins games
One player just got their combo assembled first, that's all. Max was one card away from assembling his own combo: Triskelion or Walking Ballista would've ended the game.
Because Max had so much mana in the form of creatures to sacrifice, he could have done some dumb shenanigans to reduce Adam's life total. After Adam paid 2 life to activate Spellskite to change the Mirage Mirror target to Spellskite, Max could have let the target change resolve, then responded by activating the Mirage Mirror targeting Jin, then activating it again in response targeting the Spellskite. Once it becomes a Spellskite Max could pay 2 life and change the original Mirage Mirror activation target to itself. Once the target is changed, the second Mirage Mirror activation will resolve turning Mirage Mirror into Jin, then the original activation will be targeting a Jin-Gitaxis again. Adam would have to pay 2 life like 5 times to finally stop this since Max had like 32 mana at his disposal. That 10ish life loss plus the 10 life Adam should have lost from Uril's trample would have put Adam pretty low on life Edit: oops nevermind, Adam would only have to activate Spellskite one more time since after the Mirage Mirror becomes something else it wouldn't have the ability to activate the copy ability to restart the loop
i thini that tour previous statement would work: activate the mirror, responding with spellskite, responding with mirror etc. It Will became a Battle between 2 mana and 2 Life until One player give up. than the last ability on the staci resolve First. so the mirror become jin or the spellskite and all the other activation fizzles.
Additionally, no matter how many activations of Mirage Mirror you put on the stack, the first one (which Spellskite redirected) will always resolve last, so that one will prevail.
I would like to note that even though Kevin had the Cyclonic Rift, Adam could've actually done the infinite combo on turn 4 and not 5 if he played the Arbor Elf, followed by the Generator, followed by a Free Spellskite, and have enough to cast the statue. That and Trample and Protection only protects the defense of Animar as the rest goes through, but I didn't think it would be relevant in the end considering Blightsteel, Ulamog, and Void Winnower pretty much sealed the game when he drew some of them from Mulldrifter. Depending on how it went, I probably would've held onto the Rift to Overload it, though it wouldn't have mattered. G.G. Also all the Slime in the world.

For the videos with strixhaven elder dragons as commanders it might be better to use the last name rather than the first. Prismari, quandrix, witherbloom, Lorehold, and silverquil are more recognizable
That's a fair point, but I'm not proposing calling it something completely different. It would be going by the name That's more commonly used for it. Like how you wouldn't call the ur-dragon "the" in the title of a video, you'd use "ur-dragon" you know? Like I get that technically "shadrix" is the first name of the silverquill elder dragon, but generally you'd call it "silverquill" when referring to it in shorthand.
Animar being as lame as usual. After facing one way too often, you kinda get tired of seeing it, specially since it has pro white and pro black for some unfathomable reason.
I guess Animar is from before commander really blew up but commanders really shouldn't have protection from colors. If you play W, B or orzhov all you can hope is for your board wipes and artifact creatures. Most likely you'll be dead by turn 4-5 just from Animar commander dmg. The other two players are not incentivized to do anything about it either until you're eliminated. Just a dud game.

I don't like the combos because a player wins out of nowhere who isn't a threat at the moment. While the other players are laboriously building up a board and trying to win.
Futhermore after a big stack confusion even if he did reactivated the mirror to target the Jin, it ultimately goes to spellskite because it was the first target.
The fact that these players didn't immediately team up on Adam demonstrates a level of badness that has me thoroughly disinterested in ever watching another video here again.

My 2/2 cat token was so hard to find. Now I'm happy to have all of the tokens for my almost 50 decks.

I will say, my Uril deck is one of my favorites to pilot. Very explosive with just one enchantress, super fun voltron commander
I feel like Sigarda is just strictly better than Uril for what Uril is trying to do. Losing red is really not losing much at all.

Void Winnower prevented creatures with even CMCs from blocking
Void Winnower prevents the tokens from blocking since their mana value is 0, which is even.

Animar had draws, it’s not like that all the time. And opponents had a couple turns to remove it while animar was tapped out

Spellskite changed the target from Jin-Gitaxias to spellskite. So Max never had a jin Gitaxias, he has a copy of Spellskite.
