Looking for the sweater as my dad loves the movie. Came across this video and thought to myself, 14 minutes talking about a sweater? I can’t sit through that. 14 minutes later, wonderful video! Thanks for your detail, but also your care and passion on this topic!
If you are thinking about buying one do it. It’s expensive but it’s so comfortable I wear it so much more than I thought I would and it will last and look good forever
Hi, Derek! I stumbled upon this video during a late-night Coen Bros rabbit hole dive and I have to say... you, sir, are an amazing presenter! Informative, entertaining video and love your chill vibe. Keep doing your thing, you've earned yourself a subscriber!
I don’t know for certain, but I would assume the blue one is newer because the tag says High Grade Western Wear - most of that line I’ve come across is from the 80s.
He actually did not own the sweater before the movie. he said in an interview he "copped it" from the wardrobe department after the movie. great presentation on the sweaters though!! I just ordered a pendleton myself thanks to your video!! so thanks!!
I want to know everything.I am a knitter, this is an education for me.I will watch your piece on Clint Eastwood and the Poncho from his western days. He still has the poncho!
Hey, I like your video, dude! Got a loot of Westerleys myself including the original colorway, orange, red, blue and all the repros -> black/red, grey/cream, navy blue/orange and the newest brown/red. They vintage ones were made by Winona Knits and branded Pendleton actually.
cool, I definitely abide… Stumbled upon this video have the reproduction sweater, and wear it proudly… I did subscribe to your channel. I’m kind of a vintage, clothing geek myself… Do you ever do any vintage Carhart or patagonia? ☮️
Hi thanks for subscribing. I have had some old work Carhartt stuff in the past but I don't currently own any. Also once in a while I'll finds some old Patagonia but nothing currently. I'll make a video once I do find some pieces! Thanks
Great video. You have charisma that make watching the videos enjoyable! I believe all these sweaters were manufactured in Pendleton oregon (not sure if they had their Vancouver mill at that time.) I live about 45 minutes from their factory and have bought several factory second blankets for a nice discount.
Funny, someone offered to buy my 70's Duder sweater, ran across your video,I was gonna send you a pict of what I believe is the original ring type zipper, mine is a L I bought it at a thrift store in Chicago I think for $40ish bucks..who knew?
He’s a good man. And thorough.

Thank you! I realize that 14 on a sweater sounds silly, unless it's the Big Lebowski sweater! Thanks again for watching!
It really ties the room together ❤❤❤

HI, I just found that interview. I'd seen him in the past say he owned all the clothing. You are correct. He liked it so much he kept it!

Thanks! That’s a lot of sweaters! And thank you for the info on the maker too.

Great pick up for $40! Originals are tough to find anymore.
Hey Derek - Do you hang them or fold them? off the top of my head, I'd worry it would sag or stretch if I hung it.
Hi I fold them, never hand them as I think they weigh too much and will sag it.
