I literally cried like a baby when the violins hit in The Declaration. Masterful work.
After I've been on a long journey though out my life finding different exceptional styles of black metal,this band is a refreshing experience. The very first band I grew up on was cradle of filth. In my opinion,at the age of 14 and listing to classic bands like emperor,I grew up goth. Now 41 of age, this gem 💎, is a part of my listing collection 🤘. Much luck in the near future my friends 🤘🤘🤘
The opening to this album is one of the best openings I’ve ever heard, grabbed me at first listen and I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve listened to this album since.

The intro to Hearth must be one of the nicest sounding things I've ever heard
Not normally a fan of bagpipes, but it's amazing how well they harmonize with the guitars in the intro to "Guardians". Maybe the core issue I have with most bagpipe music is that it generally has the bagpipes standing alone, when (at least for my ears) they apparently work better as part of a broader soundscape.
tears of the nation was utter bliss, entire album was. everything by saor absolutely slaps.

The transition at 49:05 is simply orgasmic. I could listen to just that part forever and be happy.

Released so much trauma listening and re-listening to that segment over the years.
Forgotten Paths still one of the few albums I can say I "love" "in it's entirety" front to back.

Just posting a comment to help get this out there. This made me tear up by the way. This is the kind of band I'd buy a physical copy of their albums, and buy merch for sure. I may have found myself an early christmas present.
