Absolutely love your content! Great cinematography, fish handling skills, places & species diversity. PLEASE keep it up man! I just found your channel and will now keep my eyes peeled for your stuff (no pressure!)
When fishing snook in the lights like that you have to strip the fly fast and short to trigger that bite. I grew up fishing lights like this my whole life and that’s the ticket!
I loved this insight into fly fishing Belize! In fact this is exactly what I would like to do. Wonderful camera work capturing the surrounding beauty and those amazing fish! Dan, if you were going back, what time of the year would you go?
I've done belize twice now once in the spring and once in early winter the opportunities were quite good both times however that early winter showed alot more tailing fish. I believe april may be too late so I'd say Nov - early jan or march to early april .
Blue horizons was a great lodge but strictly a fishermans lodge. Not much stuff to do around the lodge if your not a fisherman. Copal tree is the place you take the missus or family. I also visited belize river lodge multi species opportunities are prevelant there. First 2 lodges are your permit heavy lodges.
@@adriangadd6888 no it was inland about 15 minutes however the lodge catered well to shuttling guided guests to the boats in the morning. Well coordinated with food and drink aswell
Definitely want to see more tropical stuff. Especially Permit.
Great film love it. Need another Belize trip me thinks
Awesome video mate

Thanks Jay that means alot man!
landing a permit is truly a magical moment. You’ll never forget that feeling when the line goes tight.
Great content, cinematography and good job focusing on the local guys for the story. Be real!
