I'm Canadian, and family originally from England. Never been there but think that is cool if you go to the pub before home. Socializing with people before heading home sounds great. Your country has 150 % as many people as canada, but only 3 % of land area. A huge amount of canadians commute to work by driving. Guessing that a lot of Brits can do so without driving and or have a pub close to home. Myself I spend 2 hrs to and from daily five days a week.
I recall visiting the UK quite a few years ago spending nearly every night camping. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was at night as if there were no fellow campers nearby. Such great consideration and restraint! (Could never get used to driving through roundabouts, being so used to right-side driving.)
I loved your look of disgust shaking your head to the woman who said tea and crumpets and bad teeth. You have lovely 🤩 teeth. I know you dislike it when people say you sound posh, although when you said 'tea and crumpets' in a 'posh' voice it sounded fantastic and it was funny.😅
I’m Canadian, so we’re halfway between the US and the UK, with all the safety regulations of the UK, healthcare some of the humour, but with American fast food restaurants, which are better by default because we have food and safety regulations. We don’t have pink slime here. I notice the difference because I’ve lived by the border in the Vancouver area all my life. I get sick if I eat at the wrong place in Bellingham, Washington, just north of Seattle. We have one Olive Garden here and if I go there, I’m fine. If I go to Bellingham, I’m probably going to be a play dough fun factory. I grew up on mostly British television in the 80s and 90s, so you can imagine what school was like. The kids would be talking about Sesame Street and I’d talk about Mrs Slocombe’s, um, cat. Yeah. This is a family channel, so we’ll go with cat. I was raised on almost all the classics from the UK. Mulberry was an obscure one I really enjoyed. I still watch it on TH-cam. It’s a sitcom about the grim reaper. It’s great. Black comedy. I was raised on sarcasm.
Mostly dont think about them at all until a british marvel hero does an interview and reminds us. Brexit and the queen dying were the last two times britain was a head line in america.
You can thank Monty Python and Benny Hill for making us Americans believe that the English have bad teeth. Also, I live between two pubs in America. Believe me, every business day they fill to capacity at 5PM with business people and go on to wee hours in the morning. Actually, if it weren't for the business people filling every pub in town at 5 o'clock the pubs would all go out of business.
There posh things comes from Americans who only hear British accents from the BBC. When those of us who have spoken to Brits mimic your accent we go completely the other way. "Oi guvnor bottle o wata innit"
*abruptly stops galloping around & throws out tea and crumpets* oh... yeah... no... totally dumb stereotype ... never met anyone who likes that sort of thing ... I think Americans always have nice teeth cause they have private dentalcare, I always went through the NHS til I accidently ended up with a private dentist when I got some teeth whitening done and although he's WAY more expensive... 100% worth it tbh - I don't drink much either but almost everyone I know and meet is OBSESSED with drinking so I can't fault them for that stereotype - I don't think the age limit is the problem it's the culture, and I don't think it's necessarily a problem for the majority of people, our entire culture is built around alcohol it's a holdover from our Germanic ancestors. Nice video though it's interesting to hear what they think and I had roughly the same reaction to you so it was fun to watch - on the topic of eating, I'm currently learning to cook traditional British foods and make my own recipes for them, started with Cottage Pie (It's now DELICIOUS), then beer-battered Fish 'n Chips, fresh cod from the fish quay, northern monk IPA & locally produced great British flour & potatoes (which is also now DELICIOUS), perfected the Sunday Roast (too much to list but Pork is the best, got the crackling on FLEEK!) - next up is Beef Wellington, then Toad in the Hole - I didn't even realise how much tasty amazing food is native to the British Isles - here's another fun fact, so is Chicken Tikka Masala, was invented in Birmingham I believe. P.S. I'm from the North East, so to me, you're posh as FOOK! ;D
it is weird. I can drink. I've been complimented on my drinking skills by a German. But I don't drink much. Not really fun drinking alone. I don't know anyone that really drinks and don't know anyone that can hang with me. So I can drink -- but I usually don't. Americans love the British accent. I think it is pretty much nationwide that Americans think that the British sound so much smarter. I saw a British comic recently and he touched on that. He told a joke about something he said to a stranger at a hotel breakfast. He said something like "Fun fact. Did you know that maple syrup is actually honey made by Canadian bees.": He sounds smart so it must be true 🙂
I like your videos a lot but you're echoing in your room is a little too much at times maybe you can put a blanket on the wall to stop reflecting on the sound and put a blanket on the wall to stop the sound from echoing your room and won't pick up on the mic

I'm an American, I find the stereotypes funny....the ones about the Brits eating mutton, saying, "top of the morning to you" to people walking down the street, etc. lol....I know that this is not true but it is still funny. The British are known for having a sense of humor that no one else gets. Or the overuse of the term "bloody hell". lol....I love it. I will say though that as an American, I have encountered many rude and snobby Brits. Some Brits do not seem to like Americans. But I won't let that ruin my day. I still want to go to England one day....what a wonderful culture and history you have! ;)
