What foam is that exactly? It looks like a nice material to work with.

Try putting a forth wheel as close to the rear of the mig 21 as possible. It won't be scale but it should allow you to take off on wheels and should save your props! Just a thought! Wonderful planes!!

this foam is from a local store but you can try any type of foam that you can find around you or you can get EPP faom or DEPRON foam of some of the online rc stores like graysonhobby

You say you work in construction. You should be an aircraft engineer! You do some amazing work with such simple items. Foam, cardboard, glue. Apply to NASA, they could use your insight & ingenuity and I'm not kidding! You rock Daniel!!!!!!!!!

@tydb1 It's blu-cor made by DOW but 1/4" is a little harder to find. Home Depot/Lowe's here only carries the 1/2" but my local "Mom & Pop" hardware store has it.

I din't save any of them I just now started to take the time and make plans for my planes. for the 3D drawings I just google the plane and save the 3D view image and use a programe name tileprint to scale up the image and print it

@allan8840 Wrong dude but yeah, he is great! If you are just starting out with RC planes there are lots of free plans that you print on your printer and make out of hardware store insulation foam. Even with no experience you can make something that looks good and flys well for about $50 including electronics. If you don't have a radio get on eBay and call the total price $75+/-. These designs that Daniel makes are complicated builds and crash repair is alot more complicated.

I've got some lightly-used 3 & 4Ch radios and receivers I'll sell cheap to anyone getting into scratch-building...
