    Interesting that the old Roman roads, built on a layered roadbed nearly 2 feet deep, were concave across the shorter dimension & drained into culverts/ channels on both sides. Perhaps that is why they have lasted nearly 2 thousand years!!

    Excellent video again. This answered my question from the previous illustration. Access to your property while maintaining a permaculture design is quite tricky 👍🏽

    I find it hard to implement in the actual landscape. The colored brown line is the road, right?

    • @granvisio
      @granvisio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the brown lines would be the possible farm tracks and pathways. It was an overview of general principles. It may be difficult to imagine on the flatter area, but when the levels are measured on site, there is always an inclination even if it can't be seen with the naked eye. This is then used to position the roads and farm tracks.

      @@granvisio no worries! Just one persons opinion. Also in my opinion, music that is quieter and/or had no percussion, is best! Like I said you have good info and I will tune in in the future

    I'm looking for a design programme to help me design and map out my homestead. What do you recommend?

    • @granvisio
      @granvisio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I recommend starting with Google Earth Pro Desktop. It allows you to grab a satelite image and measure the area. Then for drawing I recommend Inkscape. Both are free. A more sophisticated design software is QGIS, also free.
