Thank you for all of your videos. My brother recommended your channel while I have been learning Capture One and it's been so valuable.

Thanks for this helpful video. However I am not able to understand the clear difference between the two Copy-Apply functions in C1 - the 'Copy and Apply: Single arrow" versus the "Copy/Apply double arrow". Doesn't the Single arrow function meet all possible requirements to copy and apply adjustments across all possible image combinations? Why does C1 need to have two new functions of Copy/Apply and Edit Selected? What purpose does this serve that the first one does not? Am I missing out on anything?

That is a great question, and I don't know why C1 has both. I think it would make sense to have just "copy and apply," especially since this is built into all of the tools as well. But instead, they've removed it from the default too bar and seem to prefer the two arrow, copy/apply option.
I possibility I can think of is copy/apply honors the "edit selected" option, and perhaps the C1 team feels that makes it more consistent with how they see C1 being used. But personally I almost always use copy and apply.

Yikes, I would never have guessed most of this, thanks so much! Questions:
    1. I use Capture One for tethering. I'd like to edit the first photograph I shoot and have that edit automatically apply to subsequent photos that I shoot. How do I set that up?
    2. Where does Capture One fit in your workflow? It sounds like you also know Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One and Affinity! Is this a work in progress or have you pretty much made up your mind as to your workflow? ( I imagine C1 will get even more use now with the new clone/heal features. )

Hey Art, thanks! You can apply the previous adjustments to captured images in "Next Capture Adjustments" section in the Camera tab. Set the "Other" option to "Copy from last" and the previous image adjustments will be copied to new capture.
Capture One is the core of my workflow. I tether into or import images directly to when i'm not tethering, and do most of my post processing there. If anything else needs to be one, I usually use Photoshop. After PS I go back to Capture One and do finishing work and export. I'm still learning Affinity, so that part of the workflow is not completely settled.
I used to use Lightroom as my main tool so I have a lot of experience with it, but I don't use it much these days, just for the old images that are still in LR catalogs.

Hello why you did not add a new adjustment layer and copy/apply only the selected adjustment layer?

Hi Arda, you are correct, the right way to make changes is to create a new layer and copy just that one. I was just demonstrating what happens if you modify a layer and copy it again (which is how it worked in previous versions of capture one). I believe I mentioned the right thing to do but I don’t think I demonstrated that, so sorry for leaving that out.
