    I saw Metabo brushless motors .. they are different to others in terms of winding and configuration of parts . master piece of engineering . That was even better if you would test it with the brand new 6.2ah battery instead of old battery 5.5

    That impulse mode is pretty sweet. I wasn't too surprised at the amount of holes you were able to put into the 2x6s, but the amount you put into the cinder blocks was surprising even with a 5.2 battery. Great review.

      +Mike L. Thanks! And yes.....it just wouldnt die!! My hands/arm/back were completely worn out after that much drilling!

    Had this drill for a year now plus a lot of other cordless Metabo's. They are the best in my opinion. That impulse mode is the best for starting drill bits into tile, no walking at all. As always excellent review.

      +Petar Momcilovich Thanks! I previously saw some clips of that Impuls action drilling, and I agree....it works great! Maybe a good subject for a quick follow-up video on this....thanks!

    impulse mode can also be use when starting a hole while drilling threw tile or other slick surface's. So the drill bit doesn't walk all over the product.

    Hey, would it be possible to see the number of holes drilled written on paper side by side with comparable drills? I like that you do the run time tests, but it would be nice when finished to see how it stacks up to the others. Maybe have a leaderboard?

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Bill Bru I may end up doing some side-by-side comparison videos with different drills, like I do with different impact wrenches. The biggest issue is going to be the battery packs......many kits come with varying sizes of batteries (amp hours), and although one may not be "as powerful", when you factor in a larger battery it doesnt make for a fair comparison. I will see what I can do in the future though, thanks!

    I already have some 18v lithium Hitachi and DeWalt...but if I ever needed to go to another platform it looks like Metabo would be at the top of the list. Hopefully they'll release some more stuff stateside now that they've been bought by Hitachi! Great review!

    would have loved a demonstration of a cam hammer drill actually drilling holes in reinforced concrete. So far I have not encountered a single hammer drill that can do it

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +HH E You mean drilling through rebar? I dont think a standard hammer drill can.....or if it can, it cant do it well. The biggest hindrance would be the bits.....with a SDS hammer, you can get 4-cutter bits that will cut through rebar, but it definitely takes a while (I have done that with the Milwaukee SDS version).

    Been blasting through your reviews the last couple of days. I enjoy the format, level of detail and that you don't assume too much knowledge on the part of the viewer, which many reviewers are guilty of.
    Are we likely to see any reviews of the Metabo 10.8v/12v drill/driver line? I'm leaning toward buying one, but there are few videos on them.

    Do you know if on any of the drills with the adjustable clutch setting if those settings have stated foot or inch pound specifications? The numbers would have alot more meaning if the drills at least came with a reference chart. Fasteners and bits can have a varying degree of torque limitations and I am often left guessing what number to use because I have no idea what that number correlates to in torque.

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Vincent Neri Not to my knowledge.....I dont think you could correlate it over in that manner.....because the variable would be the screw/wood variety/knots in the wood/moisture content/etc.....no way to get an accurate reading. I would say start low & work your way up until you find a setting that works for you.

    What are the chances you'll be able to get a Metabo high torque impact wrench to test? I know they rate it at only 450lb-ft, but sometimes these German companies are very conservative with their ratings. If they had something that could replace the Milwaukee M18 Fuel high torque impact, I would sell my Milwaukee 18V system and switch to Metabo today.

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +TheRacerRich I would imagine with the new LiHD batteries, and the very impressive results that the new Brushless tools are getting.....if/when they make a Brushless High Torque impact wrench, it will be in strong competition with the new Dewalt, Milwaukee, and (upcoming) Makita. The current version would primarily be for construction (lags) and wouldnt need to be as powerful as the automotive versions where we are seeing those massive numbers.

    What do you prefer this Metabo or Milwaukee 18v fuel not sure what to get

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Metabo is a nicer drill....but Milwaukee will have a superior warranty and way more tools that work with the batteries....it’s a toss up depending on your needs.
