Quite new into metal scene (coming from Techno/Hardcore/normal rock). I had to get used to it, but it gives me a relief like i can put my anger and disappointment in their music instead off getting annoyed by people. The album slaps you in the face with a reality most are honestly blind to. All humans have a dark and morbid side, and i found when i faced it, it made alot off things much easier in life
Lyrical content and themes rooted in ideologies can have a profound impact to listeners who care enough to pay attention. Cattle Decapitation is a band who stands out in that respect and since their lyrics are heavily rooted in the human condition, it's something we can all relate to. Thanks for checking out our reaction!
@TwoToeTags i hope so much they will start a kind of new wave in this scene, and i got 2 shirts off them. Most people look weird at it. But one time someone stopped me in the city and told me i am happy you found this gem of a band, I've seen them all (he owned a record store for 28 years). His face was like a kid seeing Disney park for the first time. After a bit off talking he told me i was fking lucky because finding this band so early in my journey is like finding a unicorn, loved that hahaha
I've yet to grown even remotely tired of this album after listening to it on a pretty regular basis since it released. Without a doubt in my top 5 of the year
I gave it a relisten. It's a very good album. I like it a lot. This song has always been a favourite on the album for me. Dont know if it will be in my top 10 for the year (its close). There's been so much fantastic metal released in 2023.
Man, so many awesome albums this year. Terrasite by CD, Holocene by The Ocean, 16 by Einar Solberg(Not metal, at least not entirely, Splitting The Soul in that album fucking ROCKED with Ihsahns presence), Fauna by Haken, and Life is But A Dream by A7x, last year there was Damnum by Allegaeon too, can't wait for more stuff ngl.
@@blackfox1320 I can respect the opinion! It's definitely the weakest here. Tbh, a few songs lost me on it, but for the most part I liked most of em. A7x kinda has a track record of Hitting or Missing ngl. Like City of Evil and their Title-Album are great, but Hail To The King and Sounding The Seventh Trumpet, not really.
Terrasite is my album of the year.
Right there with Horrendous & Sulphur Aeon with me.
Some other bangers as well but those are probably my top 3.
Yeah its defineltely at a minmum top 5, such a good album.

Just Another Body is probably my favourite on this album but it's a difficult shout, pretty much every song is fantastic
My god their fucking bassist
That song is fucking sick! 🤘
This is album of the year and nothing comes close
I will see them the December first at Montreal 😊
