6 different flat head sizes is crazy. I also don’t think you need separate pozi and phillips options in this style of bits. I would prefer more torx and hex options as those are very common these days.

I think so. Already the Leatherman style bit driver seems to be more prolific among the clones.
Where are the flat/ philips combo bits to replace lost or broken ones? A bunch of double ended Phillips or flats are pretty useless.

I can't tell if this is dry sarcasm lol I don't know that much about the economics of tool manufacturing, but this price, shipped from China, is pretty good to me. Especially when compared to Leatherman.

Nah, Dominic is right. This is effectively $20 (including shipping) for even less than half of the bits that are offered in a large set from Leatherman. from what I see, you can also buy this bit set bundled with the Nextool E1 for about $36 with free shipping. The problem is that E1 can be purchased regularly for less than $20, and on sale for about $17.
@@GruntBurger put it into perspective..the wave clones cost $5 to manufacture. This is maybe $1, and the US government supplements shipping from China because it's a "Third world nation" usps covers over 100M in shipping each year. So the least they can do is not gouge on pricing.

The 1/4 bit holder is why i really like the bibury. It gives me opportunity to use the best bits ive ever found wiha.
I usually use my 1/4" clone type multi-tool bit drivers at home and at work. They work good. Trying to take tools apart I have ruined almost all my T9 or T10 torx bits. Otherwise even my Gordan flat bits are doing well at the moment.

I was replacing a deck. We were going through about 5 a day. I bought 3 different brands and wiha by mail. I still have the same bit I started with. Also use them for my knife repair kit. I have yet to have one fail. I can't stress how unbelievable that is. I'm a mechanic/ handyman so I really use tools. I'm the guy they call after everyone else has broken or messed it up. Many times I've gotten a box full of parts. Lol

I don't understand American companies. The economy is a mes most can't afford extras. So American business's decided to make only high dollar tools. Leave budget tools and equipment to others. Even worse high price doesn't necessarily mean quality.
Nextool is the next leatherman. The quality a price is unmatched.

Do they fit into regular hex drivers? And a tricky question... would they work with driver in SOG Powerpint? I'm looking for a lightweight kit for my Powerpint and this could be it
Yep they’re basically 1/4” with less width in one direction. I wonder if one can make them in a pinch by grinding a standard bit very skillfully 😂
Definitely. I've seen some very patient people do it on 1/4" double sided bits.

At least test how they hold up because my biggest complaint with leatherman kit is material that breaks under abuse. Also it can be hardly called a gamechanger because value is not there, the set is currently sitting on Aliexpress at 10€ with 11€ shipping (for my region at least) making it over 2€ per bit. Meanwhile I can pick up leatherman kit for 29,90€ locally with twice as many bits plus spare micro driver so leatherman kit is more complete and cheaper per bit. Of course, if for some odd reason, you only need assortment of flats and phillips/pozidrives, this kit is more economical. Advertisement says Nextool's bits are made from S2 steel, which is fine if heat treating is done correctly, while leatherman says "Forged from solid steel and coated with zinc, Bit Kit bits are 35 percent stronger than average stainless steel bits", whatever that means.

i hate propietary bits, like leatherman's, just stick to 1/4 universal bits

A couple of years to late... now all the clone tools have full size bitholder and I will not go back to the slim bits. I even will change my bitholder in my Wave and Surge for a full size one.

@@deykno87 i have the small bits in the Leatherman bit kit, and carry it edc. But over the past years and due to carrying the clones more often or carrying the milwaukee 6in1, i figured out that a full size bit kit is better for me. So I switch between Wave/Surge with bit kit an clone or milwaukee with a small fullsize but still compact bit kit. But more and more often its the clone... For me its function over formfactor.

They should make a metric and an emperiall version. The same goes for leatherman, i i buy the full bit set, i use only half. you can buy bitset nr.1 and 2. Separate but the metric and imperial is still mixed up😅😅
I checked it, and there are at least 6 double sided bits I never use unless I go on holiday to the US or Canada.
I've never seen a 15mm that was that small.
Yeah, no thanks. Prefer quarter bits. My wave+ came with a flat bit but and that's the only one I'll own.
For those who just want basic bits to fit a Leatherman style bit holder this is a bargain.
As a tradesperson we use and encounter so much pozidrive (PZed) that I wanted multi tools to include them for such a long time.
The PZed is obviously superior to the regular Philips in the way it grips.
"2D" (2D is a dumb name, they are called flat bits) are loathesome though and I am not a fan but seeing as they are made to be portable I see the reasoning.
You shouldn't crank on something like your life depends on it with a multi tool anyway so flat bits are better than no bits.
