My mother has been a huge fan of this show since it released in 2011, she even watched all the spin-off shows and kept up-to-date on everything. She passed earlier this year and I only wish she was able to have seen the finale of everything, especially because we were halfway through watching it together - was something we bonded over. Rest in peace mama.
Mine passed just before season 7 started. She never got to see who Negan killed, and she would've been so sad if she saw Glenn and Abraham die during the premiere. I get how you feel because my mom and I also bonded and spent such great times together watching this show
Tara, Enid, and Henry being found decapitated, with their heads placed on pikes, was one of the most shocking moments for me. It came at a time when I didn't think I could be surprised anymore because the show stopped making shocking death scenes after Glenn and Abraham were killed.
Shocking death scenes...didn't they JUST kill Jesus? He was a big character and he wasn't supposed to die at all per the comic book. And it was how we learned about the Whisperers pretending to be zombies.
I honestly loved how Rick caught onto Terminus. In most television or cinema, a hero usually figures something out through some bullshit intuition or gut feeling and is proven right, but I loved how Rick had the attention to detail to notice the items belonging to his friends that caused him to realize something was wrong.
The woman barbecuing at the entrance yet the place have no poultry farm. Animal meat is already hard to come by in a zombie apocalypse. So that was sus for sure
The biggest twist for me is when the whispers first came and no one knew them. He just herd the walkers talking and were like WHATTTT they are evolving !
I’m shocked Beth’s death wasn’t on here, that was really the most unexpected twist. They went thru so much to find her and once they did she died a few mins later😢 still sad how she died

@nacho_v1604 Carl's death did it for me I stopped watchin til I heard about the daryl spinoff then rewatched it all. I have a lot of time on my hands right now lol
Siddiq’s death was so surprising to me because I honestly thought he was untouchable, he was symbolic of the future Carl wanted since Carl got bit helping Siddiq. I thought he and Rick would go on to becoming close because of Carl :(
Glen, hands down Glen. That scene scarred me. It was just awful, he was my favorite and I can never un-see his eye not being where it should be. Just look at the flowers Lizzie was memorable too 🥺
Glenn death isn't considered a twist though. Half the fans(the ones who read the comics) Knew it was going to happen. He dies exactly the same way in the comic.
Season 5 Rick is everything. I was fed up with his kindness. Then, he ate Dirty Joe's neck. I literally stood up off the couch and cheered like it was the Super bowl! Rick Grimes is my God

So many missed moments-- Beth's death, Carol killing a crazy little girl, Sasha's plan to turn herself into a walker, Ricks wife dying in the prison, Shane coming back as a walker so fast, and of course, Jesus being taken down as a shocking introduction to the Whisperers. And a ton more.
@@denisucuuu It was a huge deal at the time, along with Carl witnessing it. That episode of talking dead, People lost their shit. That whole dynamic between Rick, Shane and Lori was the crux of the first two seasons and their showdown was culmination of that. The early seasons were beautiful in their simplicity. But, neither here nor there. Just one man's opinion.
I have been watching The Walking Dead since its debut in 2010 but I'm STILL not ready to say goodbye to one of my favorite shows of all time. The infection being inside everyone deserves to be #1.
In 2011 I was 8 when this show first started Iv watched it multiple times and I just can’t believe it’s “over” now that I’m 19. I watched the last episode and just had this feeling of joy and relief. It is definitely one of the best running shows of our time with breaking bad and many others it would be impossible to think of a time where the walking dead didn’t exist. I remember when the premier of the show came and my mother and her boyfriend brought me and my step sister to his mothers house for dinner and she put it on the small box tv and we all watched it. It was a sweet memory in a lot of bad times and I appreciate what the cast and the minds behind the show brought to us every season to the end. I can’t wait to see what comes next and show my future kids the walking dead series.
@@Almsudl I'm in the same boat as him. My dad let me watch it on his iPod on a flight one time and then we kept watching it after that. We quit after Rick's last episode though.

Lot of good redemption stories in the show. However the one redemption that I thought was very contrived was Father Gabriel. Given the horrible things he did in season 5, he did not do nearly enough in later season to justify his later status in the group.
@@KK-fi6ms Considering that (spoiler alert if you haven’t seen the last episode yet) instead of keeping the people of the Commonwealth out, he was the first to try and unlock the gate which is the polar opposite of what he did in his introduction, I disagree.

Top 3 (In my opinion): 1. Negan had two victims 2. Sophia was on the farm all along 3. Rick Lives It's hard for me to judge this because I didn't think through about how twisted this show can get but Negan's bat beating scene was the most twisted in the show, especially after one of the craziest cliffhangers of all-time. I'm a bit sad about Sophia's death, which kind of fits in the twist feeling, and Rick's survival was also another great twisted moment but it's a bit too cheerful, which is why I rank it lower than Sophia's demise.
I feel like the variant walkers should be top 5 because that changes EVERYTHING for the characters. I feel like since it’s so late in the show’s run, most people that watched the show earlier on won’t see it and therefore less hype. I honestly think they could’ve made another season just based on the idea of the variants too, it sucks we only get to see them in the last couple episodes
Lmao there was variants in season 1 they got taken out Morgan’s wife-the bus walkers -the ones climbing the ladder the guy that said they were added to late your not paying attention
While not being a plot twist, the biggest twist for me was when Shane killed Otis. That really made me sit up and pay attention to this show. It demonstrated that TWD was going to go in some unexpected, dark and unique places. Up until that point it was a pretty run of the mill zombie show
My least favorite moments in the show besides anything to do with the Governor/Lori has to be the moments of when they are fighting walkers, everyone is a quickscoping champion. But when it comes to humans, suddenly, no one can hit their marks now.
no mention of carl's death whatsoever?? that was the most shocking thing to happen even for comic fans only ppl who kept up with spoilers saw it coming
The Sophia one still has me shook even now I don’t think many realized she was in that barn until Shane went completely ballistic and when she came out it did shock all of us

Eugene talking about a cure made me think eventually a cure would maybe be found. I get he was lying but I think they want to go back to that kind of thinking as it would also make the characters feel more in danger
Season 2 is my favorite of the series. - Carl getting shot - Shane going bad - Lori getting pregnant - Sophia in the barn - The farm going down - Rick's reveal that everyone is infected
I feel like the governor was somewhat in the right. He knew that Rick was lying, and that they could never coexist. He knew that Rick would've killed all of them without a second thought, so he beat him to it. It isn't evil, he knew what the play was going to be and he jumped on it
I disagree because Governor old season 3 employees worked for Rick in Season 4 now. An Herhel would of made it work like with Carl later with Negon. The Governor was evil. He wanted to always rule as the guy. Look how he did Martinez when he said he was in charge now..
If it was my list I'd add the pike scene in season 9 as I found it quite shocking. I would also add Beth's death as it was quite unexpected because everyone thought they had just got her back. And I would also add either when Jesus was killed or before that when Rosita and Eugene heard the whisperers talking.
Another twist that could've been on this list comes from the episode, THE GROVE (one of my "Top Ten Episodes All-Time") which already had one on the "Honorable Mentions" list. Carol, Tyrese, baby Judith and the young siblings Lizzie and Mika had decided to stay at the little cabin they found in the woods, instead of right away going to TERMINUS... but, it didn't end that way. What happened changed the course for Carol and Tyreese (with Judith in tow) leaving the cabin. This event also effected another change in fate: the rescue and escape of our group from TERMINUS.
I've got 5 more Walking Dead twists that should have been on this list Spoiler Alert 1. Shane sacrifices Otis 2. Lizzie kills her sister Mika 3. Andrew somehow survived and was responsible for the walker prison attack 4. Eugene reveals that he lied about knowing how to stop the zombie apocalypse 5. Beth's death
As someone who watched the show years late (it was around season 8 or so when I started)...I think the biggest shocker for me, who knew nothing of the comics or anything, was Glenn dying.
If you think Number 7 was that surprising you weren't really paying attention lmao, he gave me horrendous vibes for all of his memorable on screen time
Ron wanted to kill Rick for taking out his abusive father. I hate the character of Negan and felt he was a drag on the show. Sophia being in the barn was a GREAT twist!
At the end of the terminus episode when the girls get taken, I think that group was the one with the boy in season two. At Hershel’s farm when Rick and green went on a run and found him, he talked about so of the stuff they where doing to girls.
One of the best twists on the show is killing off Carl, which the comics stupidly never did and caused them to be written into a corner by ending the All Out War in a way that didn’t make sense among so many other decisions, as NO ONE thought he would ever get bitten! Same with Clementine of the TT games. Now Judith might share the same fate 🤷🏼♂️…best show ever!!!
@@jada8047 I wish he was killed when the Wolves attacked so that his death would have been more poignant given they murdered his brother. In addition to that no important character died when the Wolves attacked which to me is a waste.
Well idk if we’ll ever get an answer considering he quit the show for not being paid enough. They did however confirm he was taken by the CRM. I would love to know too though. Maybe they’ll end up ruining his character by pushing him to Fear TWD
@@harrisonfech9713 It's been so damn long though. I really liked his character and, it never seemed plausible he was killed by walkers the way it was set up. It also irks the hell out of me that Heath was the ONLY person to be taken by the CRM in 11 seasons.
OMG! It's been 12 years now since the very first episode aired in 2010 and by November 20th of 2022 which is tonight. Is going to be the final, last season, and episode of the walking dead. Another era is going to come to an end.
am i the only who wasn’t really surprised by terminus? i mean i can’t say i expected cannibals with a human slaughterhouse, but i didn’t think the “sanctuary” would be some kind of happy post apocalypse paradise. something was off to me from the moment it was discovered
Agreed, i wasn't surprised in the slightest, i didn't discard the possibility of Terminus being a shelter for survivors, don't get me wrong, but being the exact opposite didn't catch me off guard at all
Dante the doctor being a whisperer spy....that surprised me and took commitment our people wouldn't just let strangers start being doctors and responsible for people at first he took the time to get our people to trust him
With Walking Dead ending much later than it should have, I'd recommend doing a "Top 10 Good Shows That Overstayed Their Welcome" video with Simpsons obviously being #1.
Awwww, Denise, Sophia, Herschel, Glenn... I was crushed. Biggest "twist" or fake-out? Dumpstergate with Glenn. The entire neighborhood heard me that night, and my poor dog was in a deathgrip...
They could use tools and try to open doors the first season, not how it works at the last. Plus using their blood as a cover worked, then didn't, then did again. I wish the writing was consistent.
I can't believe that the original TWD is coming to an end!!! I can't wait to see the show Finale!!! My dream is that Rick & Michonne come to the aid of their friends so that Judith & little Hershel get reunited!!
One thing that always confused me was the fact they didn’t realise everyone was infected. Like I get they didn’t have any way of knowing for sure, but nobody would’ve turned into a walker because of a living cannibal or because they just felt like living twice
So many better options could’ve been chosen. Rick killing Shane, Shane killing Otis, Merle being at Woodbury, Morgan being unmasked in season 3, the terminus group eating tainted meat… etc
Beth dying is number 1 for me, I was rooting for her and I was mad when she just disappeared for almost a whole season , she was building her courage and the episodes with her and daryl are some of my favorite. Then he had to carry her body out that was the saddest scene on the show tbh
It’s absolutely insane to think the same group that nearly dies at terminus is the same people we watch in the commonwealth multiple years later doesn’t feel real to know it’s all the same universe
Sophia in the bar nearly made me cry. Yet I was most shocked that carol killed that little girl "look at the flowers" line sticks with me to this day. Also on "talking dead". They gave Carol the nickname of "scarol". Then the time Carol came back to save the crew from Terminus that was EPIC.

We were shocked since the other walkers became smarter, but their vulnerability remains the same.
The first time I saw Dante in the show I knew by his face that he couldn’t be trusted
He's supposed to be Maggie's new boyfriend lol
It’s gonna be bittersweet to say goodbye to this show, but it was a pretty sweet ride
Morales' return would have been A LOT more of a twist to me if i hadnt strated the series when i was like 8 and completely forgot who he was
Yes they should have returned him sooner. I too forgot him
Negan of all people becoming one of The Good Guys.
The entire TWD graphic novel series ended few years ago.
The entire live action TV show ends this Sunday night on AMC.
I've got 5 more Walking Dead twists that should have been on this list
Spoiler Alert
1. Shane sacrifices Otis
2. Lizzie kills her sister Mika
3. Andrew somehow survived and was responsible for the walker prison attack
4. Eugene reveals that he lied about knowing how to stop the zombie apocalypse
5. Beth's death
Andrew probably hid in a storage unit.
All of those could be on this list… i think Lizzie killing Mika was the biggest twist to me from your list
Gonna miss this show so much
then just watch the many spinoff shows
I found Shane leaving that one farmer back in season 2 quite shocking as it revealed his true colours
At the end of the terminus episode when the girls get taken, I think that group was the one with the boy in season two. At Hershel’s farm when Rick and green went on a run and found him, he talked about so of the stuff they where doing to girls.
Just when you think you know the questions for Walking Dead, they change the questions.
Could we do a Top 20 Coolest/Badass Moments in The Walking Dead. “Tainted Meat” would definitely be in the top 10
Abraham ko Eugene
The one where Maggie shot Leah’s crew was shocking. I never knew Maggie would do something like that. She isn’t the type of person to.
I still can't believe Beth took a knife to a gun fight over a boy that got killed 6 or 7 episodes after her
@@jada8047 I wish he was killed when the Wolves attacked so that his death would have been more poignant given they murdered his brother. In addition to that no important character died when the Wolves attacked which to me is a waste.
@@cimalasheffield5908 agree
@@jada8047get off my boy Noah
It's the groups fault not his
@AverageViewer she made a emotional decision almost got everyone killed
Suggestion: Top 20 best characters in ‘The Walking Dead.’
When are we going to find out what happened to Heath? I mean of all the twists and unanswered questions that is the one thing I wanna know.
Biggest mistery of the series
@@craig7021 um Rick?
Agreed, i wasn't surprised in the slightest, i didn't discard the possibility of Terminus being a shelter for survivors, don't get me wrong, but being the exact opposite didn't catch me off guard at all
İ realised it the moment i saw the stake because there arent any animals around
the only reason i was sad that sadik (no idea how to spell his name) died was because that meant carl died for nothing pretty much
I initially felt the same at the time, but realized that Sadiq had been with the group longer than carl had when he died. Time jump and all.
@@supaB thats true tbf
I never read the comic books, and it is not really a twist, but the first time I heard The Whisperers blew my mind.
Dante the doctor being a whisperer spy....that surprised me and took commitment our people wouldn't just let strangers start being doctors and responsible for people at first he took the time to get our people to trust him
Denise was weak but she wanted to be like them even though she wasn't experienced, but her death was a huge twist
we need a top ten walking dead episode list!!
They might do it after the finale is shown.
The pikes in 9x15 was a big twist. In the show it was tara enid and henry amongst several others but in the comics it wad Rosita and Ezekiel
wait really?
With Walking Dead ending much later than it should have, I'd recommend doing a "Top 10 Good Shows That Overstayed Their Welcome" video with Simpsons obviously being #1.
Awwww, Denise, Sophia, Herschel, Glenn... I was crushed. Biggest "twist" or fake-out? Dumpstergate with Glenn. The entire neighborhood heard me that night, and my poor dog was in a deathgrip...
Every moment of this entire series had me stunned.
They could use tools and try to open doors the first season, not how it works at the last. Plus using their blood as a cover worked, then didn't, then did again. I wish the writing was consistent.
The blood thing worked it only doesn t work when they make noise or are really scared i think
#5 was my favourite plot twist it got me jumping through the city
Whisperers taking out Jesus should have at least been an honourable mention
Siddiq's death hit so hard because Carl died saving him, and it kind of felt like he died for nothing (he did)
One surprise for me was the finale with rick being alive but he is a prisoner
I can't believe that the original TWD is coming to an end!!! I can't wait to see the show Finale!!! My dream is that Rick & Michonne come to the aid of their friends so that Judith & little Hershel get reunited!!
One thing that always confused me was the fact they didn’t realise everyone was infected. Like I get they didn’t have any way of knowing for sure, but nobody would’ve turned into a walker because of a living cannibal or because they just felt like living twice
So many better options could’ve been chosen. Rick killing Shane, Shane killing Otis, Merle being at Woodbury, Morgan being unmasked in season 3, the terminus group eating tainted meat… etc
ye but like its all opinionated, i like ur twists doe
It's interesting reading people's comments about watching the finale, when in Australia the series ended over a year ago.
Beth dying is number 1 for me, I was rooting for her and I was mad when she just disappeared for almost a whole season , she was building her courage and the episodes with her and daryl are some of my favorite. Then he had to carry her body out that was the saddest scene on the show tbh
I think Beth’s death after she was finally found was a big twist.
So glad spin-offs are coming next year, but still sad the main series is ending.
I liked the video but you missed Jesus’ death. That fake-out move where the whisperer killed him shocked me.
To all my fellow Walking Dead fans, always remember to aim for the head.
I literally cannot wait for the Twd finale I’m liking going crazy over waiting but I also cannot fathom that it’s coming to an end
It’s absolutely insane to think the same group that nearly dies at terminus is the same people we watch in the commonwealth multiple years later doesn’t feel real to know it’s all the same universe
I’ve never seen the walking dead (it’s to scary for me) but these videos keep me as updated as possible
I saw the entire Anderson family death + Carl getting his eye shot before I even watched the show. It’s what got me into it, amazing scene.
Sophia part was the biggest shock truly
What about the fact that it was Carol that let Negan out of his cell to take out Alpha??
Thats a good twist
Terminus was full of Cannibals. ⚠️
I still remember Bob Stookey iconic line "I've been bitten you stupid bricks. I'm Tainted Meat!" and then laughs.
WELL THAT WAS A PLOT TWIST!
Anyone else gonna cry tomorrow night when the show ends? 😢
11:30pm swiss time I'll be watching the finale of my all time fav show 😭 so damn excited and can't wait ♥️
I totally expected the phone call that Rick got in the prison would be on here
Sebastian was flexing about killing walkers when he died by one 🤣
Dwight killing denise with daryl crossbow is shockinggg
Jesus's death by the whisperers not being on the list is crazy
It was handled poorly. Poorly lit, happens almost off screen or it's a cut away
