Well im quite sure the guitar goes a little bit more complex its funny cos youre playing a guitar. Greatly explained video and synthesis of all instruments in just one.
Thanks so much! I appreciate you watching. Check out my cover (in the description) and be sure to check out garretsguitarlessons.com for more free resources. Cheers!
Nice - you missed the (16th note?) rest on the bassline, on the second time 'round on the D. Where can we hear you playing it all together on the looper?
Toby Chups I annotated my versions. I've tried putting in the comment and the description, but youtube won't let me. If you search "Garret Schmittling Something About Us" it'll show up. Or go to my channel that I commented with and you'll find it in my "Old Videos" Playlist. I think more in terms of overall ideas and feels of songs rather than playing things exact. So it doesn't surprise me that I would miss a rest or ghost note here and there. I hope it at least gets you in the realm! If you have any questions let me know and I have the chord charts and tab available on my website. Thanks for watching!
this was working perfect for me until the las part.. it's really difficult to understand where to place the fingers if it's not written down... the rest of the video was helpful
+michupachuuu Thanks for watching! I have tabs and other PDF's available at: garretsguitarlessons.com/lessons/something-about-us-by-daft-punk-rhythm-parts/ Hope that helps clarify things!
I don't understand how you're making the rhythm sound like that on the octaves. It sounds like you're muting a certain note but it just doesn't sound right for me
how you stretch your hand like that
Try to use capo on 5th fret
Flexibility, you get more flexible and strong fingers over time
You can't use a capo you numbnuts.
Great video! Keep in mind in that bass part, the second, lower D is played with a dotted rest, so the timing is a bit different. Cheers, man!
I love this! Thank you! Hear the song so much in this rhythm and inspires me to get this one down...
You can get it down! I hope this video helps and I also have tabs available at: garretsguitarlessons.com Thanks for watching :)
Excelente ....GRACIAS
You're welcome!

¿G minor 7?
It seems to be G dominant 7.
I didn't catch that from the piano part!
awesome video dude! you really help me out.
+Iván Cárcamo Thanks for watching!
That second chord got my fingers dead
Yup! It's not easy getting there, but once you do... it's magic! Thanks for watching!
my pinky was no where near reaching the 10th fret😂
You could just use a capo man?
Perhaps! But it's more of a problem of making a keyboard song a guitar song.
