Navigating your way to a connecting flight at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar is a straightforward process. After exiting your aircraft, follow the transfer signs to the security check.
    More info: www.therfiles.com/how-to-tran...
We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Oryx, very spacious and nice room, one of the nearest hotels from the airport.
    Doha Hotels: bit.ly/doha-hotel
We flew from KL to Doha to Athens on Qatar Airways, with comfortable, new seats and equipments. Amazing food as well.
    Transfer Desk
Go to the Transfer desk situated at concourse A, B, C, or D, to collect your boarding pass if you have not done so earlier. Assistance is readily available at the transfer desks, whether you need help with missed connections, re-booking for a later flight, reprinting your boarding pass, upgrading your travel class, or rescheduling your flights.
Hamad International Airport operates as an integrated facility, allowing passengers to arrive, Transfer, and Depart within the same terminal building.
Follow the signage, inquire at information desks, or utilize the airport map to easily find your way around.
    0:46 - Single PNR booking
Baggage will be checked through. After exiting the aircraft head straight to security check and proceed to the boarding gate.
    1:17 - Different PNR booking
Baggage will not be checked-through. Follow signs to Baggage Claim, go through immigration, collect your baggage.
Proceed to Departures, check in your baggage, go through security check and immigration again then to the boarding gate.
1:59 - Walking Distance and time
The airport is a single terminal structure, comprising a central hall, and is connected to five concourses: A, B, C, D, and E. Within concourse C, there is an internal passenger train that operates within the terminal. Walking from one end at concourse A to the opposite end of concourse E typically takes around 15 minutes.
2:23 - Things to do during Transit
You can relax in any of the quiet rooms equipped with recliners and soft lighting. Quiet rooms are available at different concourses for free, and concourse C features a larger family quiet room complete with cubicles. The airport provides play areas to ensure your children stay entertained. Throughout the passenger terminal, you'll find designated spaces for smoking, prayer, and charging stations for phones and laptops.
The Airport Hotel provides four-star hospitality experience for stays as short as five hours. Additionally, guests can relax with a massage and facial, take a refreshing swim, or engage in a quick workout at the wellness center. There are also sleep pods and cabins.
Depending on your ticket type, membership in the privilege club, credit card entitlement you might qualify for complimentary lounge access. Alternatively, you have the option to purchase lounge access.
3:22 - Explore Doha at night?
If you have an extended transit period, you can explore Doha, Qatar, and discover iconic places such as the Corniche, Souq Waqif, the Museum of Islamic Art, Dhow Harbor, and Katara Cultural Village.
Many restaurants at Souq Waqif open 24 hours, most retail stalls and shops close after 10pm. It is very easy to get Uber ride or taxi, even after midnight. Take the blue or green taxi.
3:56 - Boarding and Finding your way
Most restaurants, shops and food courts are located around the Main Hall where the big yellow teddy is. You have Concourse A at one side and B at the other corner. Concourse C is the biggest and longest. There is an internal passenger train that operates within the terminal at Concourse C. You can walk or take the train.
To reach Concourse D and E you have to go through Concourse C.
    5:26 - Internal Passenger Train

Hi, usually with different ticket number/ airline, your baggage will not be checked through and you have to pass immigration.

Hi. Is 2 hours and 15 minutes transit time enough to transfer from a flight to another? Knowing that my ticket is with one single PNR (different companies).
    Thank you,

Hi. I watched the video and based on my understanding, if you one ticket throughout your journey, you can go to transfer right away. Best to check during check in if your baggage can be picked up at the final destination. However, if you have separate tickets, you need to get bags and go through immigration, and then check in again. I believe Qatar is one of the most welcoming countries offering visas on arrival, you may want to check on your eligibility depending on your passport’s nationality

If I'm transferring, will my bag be automatically put into the next flight or do you have to claim it first?
Do you get free WiFi onboard Qatar airways?

    • @theresearchfiles

Hi, if your flights are booked under a single ticket/ PNR then yes, bags will be sent to the next flight.
the free wifi provided has limitations, works only for text messages and slow. They also have a paid version, but I did not try it.

Hello, I am a French citizen, I am transferring from Doha to Montreal in Canada, I am traveling with the same company, I am traveling without luggage, I want to know what checks I have to go through? Shall we check the passport again or just my boarding pass?

Hi, Usually travelling with one ticket (same airline), all the boarding passes will be given to you during the first check in, no passport check, just security check for your hand carry belongings.

Hi, we have a 17 hour layover and booked a hotel thru the Discover Qatar which the hotel is 15 mins from the airport. We have USA passports, do you know if we go thru immigration to leave the airport or just security check point? At what point do we get the TRANSIT VISA? We do not plan to visit The Corniche, Souqs until our return trip and will take Uber taxi to the hotel and then just rest in the hotel until our next day 800am flight. We have single PNR and our luggage will go straight thru from Atlanta to Manila, Philippines.

Hi according to this website: visitqatar.com/intl-en/practical-info/visas/visa-details, USA passport holders do not need a visa to enter Qatar for 30 days visit.
If you are leaving the airport, you need to go through immigration.
