  • I'm two-thirds done with my RV renovation! This video is an update on the progress so far - I've done the bunk, part of the bathroom, and the kitchen is... not done at all!
Now I'm in the home stretch. Subscribe if you want to see how everything turns out! As I work on the camper, I've got a few more videos coming: about the kitchen renovation, things that surprised me during the process that I wish I had known before I started, how much everything cost, etc. Next video is the kitchen renovation.
In the comments, tell me what I should do about the camper's fridge... yellow? Black? White?
Ultimately, I hope to use the renovated camper for camping with my family (of course) but ALSO for taking on trips to craft fairs for my business selling macramé plant hangers (currently just on Etsy due to the coronavirus pandemic: www.etsy.com/s....
My camper is a 2001 Thor California Tahoe Lite - 22 feet long and 2,950 lbs.
Thank you so much for watching.

    Keep the fridge yellow! 🌞

I think the yellow door and the yellow fridge both look good and there's no need to overthink it. You will probably have a flash of insight about the perfect accent color as you progress. You're making fine choices - keep going! 😊

I think I'm going to do black... because the yellow is starting to bug me already!

This is just my laziness talking, but I'm thinking that all paint will need to be touched up eventually and fridges get a lot of physical contact with dirty hands so maybe a darker color would be best. I do love yellow, objectively, and know little of color theory. Seems like yellow next to white is a little harder in the eyes, I think.

Where was the hardware and wallpaper from? It's super cute. This camper has a surprising about of sleeping space!

Those are actually both from Amazon. I always try local places first, but if they don't have it they don't have it! And yes it can actually sleep 6 adults and 2 kids... all on actual beds/bunks too.

Did you strip the original paint on the inside of the camper? Or did you strip the paint and it still took 4 coats? Great video! Very inspiring and learning a lot!

Depends what you mean by strip - technically there was no original paint - just wood-colored fake wood, wood, and this ugly gray wallpaperish stuff. I sanded and/or used liquid sandpaper everywhere on the wood parts (cabinets etc) but the walls I just cleaned before applying the primer. I also used a special primer called BONDZ by Zissner which is supposed to stick to anything on both the walls and the cabinets.
