Thanks for this video! I just found the same problem by watching this I was able to look for that rather than a burnt spot. Part is ordered. $15 for the IC if I wanted it this month LOL! The heat sync seems OK. Thank you! I wouldn't have guessed to look for that!
I had one Pcb today going open it tommoro fault is dryer heater ( dE) error after few minutes sensor are ok and drain motor stops with error (oE) seen too much melted silicone Top246 pins and area silicone melted Pcb works what you suggest is it dry solder or any part failure pls reply Thankyou 04jan2024
The Top246 IC gets very hot during its operation so brown/burnt silicone on its legs might be normal, plus if there is a problem with this IC the unit is dead and does not power on.... First of all you should check the heater element and all the sensors associated with it... Hope that helps!
Thanks for watching the video! If you washing machine is completely dead (no power) then the video applies to you and there is step by step guidance in there. If you are not comfortable soldering/desoldering you should ask a professional to perform the repair...
Unfortunately i don't remember the part. From the stock of zeners i have it should be either 7.5V or 24V. You can try to use a magnifying glass to try to read the markings on the zener... damn i should have included it in the video....
Hi I have the same problem but not the same kind of board. It's also LG. Thing is I found that piece that you replaced exploded. And of course I couldn't find the part number. I also can't find the same board in the internet as it is discontinued. Do you have any idea how I can replace the part?
The best thing would be to find the missing part and read the code. In our situation it was on the bottom of the washing machine... Not all LG power boards use the same part. Some use the TOP246 and others use the TOP248 and the parts are not inter-changable. Otherwise search the net for forums mentioning your board in order to find the part number, check also foreign language sites with auto-translate... good luck!
If it has no power at all then this video applies to you… if it has power but the display is not working then the problem is with the display/ button board. It sometimes has water or moisture damage..

You are welcome! I am glad the video helped. In my case it was easy as half of the part was blown away..
What about silicone glue if not paste then it may expose to moisture.
Bhai mera LG Front loading 5.5 kg Direct Drive ka Panel kharab ho gaya hai iska replacement kahan milega?

which brand split ac pcb is easy to repair?
This is from a washing machine.... All ac brands use the same philosophy on their boards, so there shouldn't be big differences...
If display not showing. Then what need to replace
