Ryan Crouser makes a 23m put look easy. he will break the world record soon, there is no doubt. He virtually doesn't put anything less than 22m these days!
What a terrible time to not allow fans. I wish I could have been there. I was there in 2019, what a site. This would have been epic. Four of the top shot putters in the world, all of which can break the record at at any meet. Besides the Olympics and World Championships this was the meet to be at. Nope! Thx again COVID
The reason why Crouser's throw goes that far is because he throws at a perfect angle. otherwise Kovacs and walsh have more brute strength that Crouset.
Walsh has tremendous speed at release. Kovacs probably lifts the most. Crouser has the longest levers for extra push. It's not like Kovacs and Walsh haven't put it out there with ideal angles during some comps. They just haven't been able to hit 23 yet. So "the reason" why Crouser's throw went so far has to do with much more than merely angle of release.
