- So, the build is in full effect.
The motor is out and we start stripping it down to get it ready for the paint shop.
Along the way we'll cover the details of what's going on with it and future plans.

Your an amazing guy keeping these Honda’s clean and preserving the Jdm Integra I love it
Wet sand with soap and water those headlights with 1000 grit and then buff with compound on a wool pad. If you still see scratches hit them with 2500 and rebuff or you can clear coat them. Either way they'll turn out looking new.

Well as always this car will turn out awesome just like all the other ones you build. I fully understand your OCD and being picky about the car I get it. It's the little things that people don't see that really makes the car 😊

Great call on keeping the color! I thought so too. I also think you guys should build the shit out of the EP3. Not just k24 swap, make it 3-400hp and I think AWD is now an option on those.

I have a feeling you are going to do a custom color. The color of your NSX? Not sure if you would do that but it would look pretty amazing having the pair the same color.

please include as much detail as possible on the little things as you put this back together, its the small things that the average punter has knowledge gaps in, stuff like seals/linings/rubbers etc love the attention to detail.

Definitely re-using the axles = sticking with the B-series?
For a street car, without crazy power, I'd like to see you build the motor with a similar compression and source the discontinued Jackson Racing roots type supercharger. For building up the bottom end to handle the extra power, I'd say forged pistons and ARP rod bolts at the very least. Also aftermarket forged rods and ARP head studs if you don't mind spending.
A roots type supercharger keeps the nice linear power band that characterized the Type-R, but with the bonus of power coming in at a lower RPM, being available over wider range, and peaking at 300 WHP-ish. The GSR transmission didn't have a limited slip, this build should definitely have one. The gearing in the GSR transmission is longer than the Type-R, but that should suit the supercharger just fine and may be preferable for the street.
also excited to see the rear quarter panel window molding replacement and how you go about it would like to replace mine also on my 98gsr only thing is on honda parts unlimited they have is (tape A) and ( tape B) tape b looks more like the molding but its not one piece in the picture the price on it is $3.41 if you get a part number for that molding that would be awesome
I'm sure you already have an idea for what you wanna build but if you did a K series with PS and AC I think it would bring A LOT of exposure to your channel since almost EVERY SINGLE k series swapped car gets them removed having a semi-dyi on it and how you put your special touch making it a k series street car with all the luxury items would be really really cool.
Maurice T Every K-Sight we’ve built ( 14) has left with power steering and AC. These are 100% built. You can buy to slap integras together with kits ordered from everyone. It’s like LEGO.
@@LHTPerformance Sorry I shouldve phrased it better, a MAJORITY of 5th and 6th gen Honda/Acuras(like this integra) almost never have ac/ps while being K swapped. I've seen it done but its just rare and seeing how very very well you guys build cars(HANDS DOWN my favorite car channel right now) would be awesome to see you guys do it. I'm actually currently looking into k24 swapping my 95 civic coupe hence the bias towards k series

Do a graphite pearl for the integra. I have the paint on my 07 accord. I think it will look great on it. And still keeps it Honda OEM paint.

Boost is more fun, even auto’xing or on a road course. You can swap to slicks and bust out a 10 with minimal lag for other types of racing. With a GTX3076R (or whatever the latest cutting edge tech is) and head work, 10.5 Index is within reach and you can win purse...which can amount to $1500 if there are enough cars.
Nothing more fun than trying to fix a molested Integra Type R.

You have to go B on this build. With the route you're going the B series makes complete sense. For the purists out there, this is exactly what they would be looking for. A clean, period correct build. With of course a B series.

Now buddy, I realize that the K series is an awesome engine and is almost always the engine of choice for anyone building a Honda, but please stick with the old B series. I really like seeing people squeeze power out of the B series. I've seen people make 300 whp easily out of a basic K24/K20 swap, but I would really like to see a high compression cammed B18C1 make 300 whp. Hell, you could most likely get a 4Piston head, cams, valvetrain, Skunk 2 Pro series intake, 90mm throttle body, some bigger injectors, and it should be plenty capable of 300 whp and be alot of fun to drive. I just made 588 whp on 22 psi from a built LSVTEC with a Garrett GT3582R dual ball bearing turbo. As much as I love the K series engine, I'm just a sucker for making the underdog produce as much power as the bigger engine.
As much as I adore the K-Series, I must say I believe you should use a B-Series in this car. The DC2 Integra is such an icon, a classic rather, that whatever is done should be period specific. I guess that means an H swap wouldn't be out of the question :p

sdlausen I really don’t see anything special about the New CTR motor 🤷♂️. It stresses to make 400whp while a bone stock K20 or K24 will do it all day long. I’m sure I could do it but I don’t see any benefit.

Loving that integra. I wonder what color you really want to paint it in. Doing a restoration of a Toyota TA 22 and probably going to paint it Mercered Emerald green, which you could consider painting it in aswell

John I was very curious about that insulation wrap on the air conditioning lines do you find that is useful for the heat in Florida if so let me know I am - 70 days from moving to Florida. Also an afterthought John you still have those OEM Type R floor mats in the overhead looks like they did come in handy or will

Man I loved my H22A 93 Lude. Nice looking car. EL gauges were sick. The 90s had the best looking cars. I wish Honda would build those cars again just with more recent technology.
