I’ve been watching your videos since you dropped your first video about comics and I’m so happy you’re making them again. You’re the best comic TH-camr around
I totally understand your pick on uncanny X-men 271. And you’re right that was a fun era!! That was middle school era for me and loved going to my LCS (we had 5 in my small city of 60K back in 1990!).
This was a pleasant surprise, and everything you post is always worth the watch. Good to see you back Regie, even if it ends up being short term. I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year! 🎄
Even though there are millions of copies and they aren't worth squat I feel like the 5 variant covers of X-MEN #1 (1991) have a place in any X-Men collection.
Guess who's back...back again! Regie's back, tell a friend! 🙂 Great stuff as usual bro! Storm, Bishop, Forge and Magneto are among my favorite X-Men characters. I have raw and graded copies of X-Men #282 (1st and 2nd print) and #283. That X-Men #1 (1991) cover of Magneto by Jim Lee is one of my favorites by him. I have several copies of the connecting cover set.
Awesome video!! And yes that Jim Lee cover had me in a trance when I 1st layed my eyes on it back in the day when I used to get them in the mail subscription service!!
Thanks for the must have video. I look forward to seeing your comic wall in the future. I never get tired of seeing your early Spider-Man keys as I am trying to put together a run of all the 12cent issues, which seem to be immune to many of the price drops we see on other books.
Man bro!!! this is the absolute first X-men comic I ever read as a kid in the 90's. I was 9 at the time when I read it. My older bro gave me an extra copy he had. The first time I saw Wolverine I thought he was Batman with claws 😂. That panel is my favorite panel in comic book history for me. So much so I had Jim Lee himself sign the inside of it at a con 😭 in Ohio last year. He put a special note 📝 in it for me 😂 I about died 💀 😂 and I'm not really into celebrities but that was a special moment lolo Good stuff Reggie glad 💙 your still creating content bro. Happy New Year!!! ✊🏾
We need the comic wall! I got a few first comics i wasn't aware of because of you; namely Super Mario 1 and Truth 1. I don't think you realize the impact you have, keep it up!
I’m glad you mention two of my personal fave books esp #211 - that was the issue that introduced me to comics and been a XMen reader fan to this day. And #244 Jubiliee is my personal fave because I literally had my only comic book character when I was in high school.
Nice rundown Regie. I sold all my X-men (except #1)to pursue a different run, I wish I could keep all the runs but swapping and switching keeps the hobby alive for me. Thanks for the great content and looking forward to the next one.
It’s crazy to me how we say the Jim Lee run is classic, but we do t really say the same about byrne, not really. For example, nobody gives a rats as about 108. This is one of the few vids that gives it its due, but, I still think he gave it short shrift. The Claremont/ Byrne/ Austin run made the new xmen.
Oh my god, Reggie. X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills by Christopher Claremont and Brent Eric Anderson is one of those moments. I needed to go back and see if it was anything like I remembered. It ’twasn’t. It was better. Thank you, bub.
That “God Loves Man Kills” is more commonly called a graphic novel not a magazine. Kitty Pryde uses the n word in it, which kind of surprised me even back then. But the X-Men and mutants story always tried to be a kind of metaphor for prejudice. The painted art is really cool
Paul Smith. Issues #172 and #173 Rogue and Wolverine in Japan. Wolverine is making her earn his trust, and she saves his life. Redemption. Also, God Loves, Man Kills is Claremont's best work. Always thought of Mutant Massacre as a lesser, although expanded, version of the same concept. But it was still great.
Hey brother, great video! The X-Men have always been my favorite team, more Blue Team than Gold (when they split up to two teams). Jim Lee is also my favorite X-Men artist...his Psylocke, whew. I'm working on a run from #'s 94 through 190. Looking forward to reading the Dark Phoenix Saga. Hey everyone, let's get these likes up so we have a Part II! Have a blessed weekend, 1G!
Mine was #149 and I've been hooked ever since. The second coming of Cockrum was the bomb. I vividly remember #155 with Colossus looking very much dead on the cover.
Minor corrections - you said Byrne's first issue was #107 instead of #108, but you did hold up the correct issue. #142 was the first issue the indicia officially changed to include "Uncanny". #143 was the last Byrne issue. Awesome video all the same.
Way to be uneducated about the XMen show on Disney, when your show is about XMen. I feel like you just want to brag about your comics and not really educate people. Thanks for wasting my time 🎉

Appreciate the kind words. 🫡👊🏾
Glad you're back, Reg!
You’re back!! I didn’t know this I get all my comic advice from you brother thank you for being back making great videos

Wish this was true of those pokemon games! Millions of copies worth hundreds of dollars!😢
Great to see you back

Boom! You had me at Bishop and Forge. 😂
Good to have you back with regular content. I very much look forward to future videos.
Good to see you Regie! Hope all is well as we start a new year.
Great video welcome back bro
Awesome video!! And yes that Jim Lee cover had me in a trance when I 1st layed my eyes on it back in the day when I used to get them in the mail subscription service!!
Wicked awesome to have you back!!!
Happy new year to you and your family Regie!
Same to you, Dave.
You’re the best glad to see you again
Good to be seen.
A good addition to must have X-men books are the Neal Adams run in the sixties. They are fantastic.
What happend to his comic cave?
Welcome back Reggie

I have never heard anyone say an unkind word about Jim Lee. At some point I hope to meet him.
Thanks for sharing the memory. Shoutout to the big bro.
I love the era of Dave Cockrum and John Byrne covers, X-Men are my favourites

One G, my guy, you're missin' out on X-Men '97. I'm a DC guy and even I have to say the series was phenomenally done. 6:25
😂😂
Right there with ya!
Thanks for bringing a smile to my Saturday morning face. Been a while, but it seems yesterday. In a lot of ways i wish it was .
My man, Milt. It’s good to see you in the comment section. Positive thoughts for you, brother.
Holy C*** - like those picks and that #1 -good for you, that’s one of my grails for sure -Hope all is well with you -thanks for sharing
Enjoyable video! Thank you, Regie! 👍🏻
We need more must haves videos from my dude. Please keep coming
Enjoyed this one.
Lets goo!! Great call on the X-MEN, the Jim Lee run is classic. Timeless stories! Keep the great content coming Regie! ❤❤

Regie covering some gold!

Awesome Books!!!
Great video! X-Men #155 was my first pickup. I was 11 years old and I still remember the experience in detail.
The ability to transport us in time is just one of the many powers of comics.
Mine was #149 and I've been hooked ever since. The second coming of Cockrum was the bomb. I vividly remember #155 with Colossus looking very much dead on the cover.
@@bprice6890 Agree... I eventually bought all of the early X-Men from 94 onward, and I appreciated Cockrum way more his second time around.
Yes sir, this is my favorite comic since the 70’s when I started collecting comics😮
can definatly do a part 2 ,3 etc
Minor corrections - you said Byrne's first issue was #107 instead of #108, but you did hold up the correct issue. #142 was the first issue the indicia officially changed to include "Uncanny". #143 was the last Byrne issue. Awesome video all the same.
New Reggie content? You love to see it.
Byrne is my Favorite Superman and FF artist
If you do a part two, I would include #213 (first Wolverine vs Sabertooth) and #266 (“first full appearance” of Gambit”.
For Jim Lee covers what about Uncanny X-Men 266 and 268, or X-Men #11, those are great covers
Go Loves is one of Marvel’s best published works 🙏🏾
Reggie is #1❤❤❤
John Byrne❤
That be cool 😎
So many legendary Jim Lee X-men covers. Uncanny 268, 275; Xmen 1,4 (1991). Any ones with Wolverine of course.
Keep chipping away Reggie, don’t stop
Your better without the wall 🥃🥃🥃
Beautiful video can we please get an XMen part 2. What about X-Men #50?
Might appear in part 2 as a cover pick. 🤷🏾♂️ We’ll have to see.
Being “AnachronicbComics” I always go with the first 10 issues.
Bring back the wall!
You forgot to show the uncanny X-Men 133 wolverine first solo story in X-Men comics but it a pretty expensive comic.
Joe Mad my fav X-men artist but Jim Lee is #2 for me
Regie 💪🏼
271????
Dude, 270.
Regie 👍🏽👍🏽🎄🎄
I won't buy any slabbed comic unless the seller puts their own sticker right on the slab.
😂😂😂

The video is about X-Men comics and not the X-Men cartoon. Pause.
