As a small kid I lived right around where the video started in Mississauga (and used to get pizza at that plaza). Nowadays I live in Germany, however. It was nice to see my old neck of the woods (and be amazed by how much it has changed!).
Cool stuff! The 401 gets a lot of the attention, but Toronto has a very good overall network. Too bad the province sold the 407, which I think was a poor decision.
I agree. Selling the 407 was a poor decision on behalf of the provincial government. It doesn't really bother met hat it's a toll highway, but the predatory pricing (particularly at off-peak times) is pretty frustrating.
AsphaltPlanet1 the fact that it’s a toll road isn’t to bad. It’s just the fact that it’s owned by a company in Spain. The money is going to that company, not to Ontario to maintain these roads. The price is REALLY high though.

I like the 403. That's my type of freeway (high-mast lightning poles on each side of the freeway) which is very common in Texas
Texas and Ontario are similar with their mutual love of high-mast lighting.
