I love my one pair of Naked and Famous jeans, but I have had great customer service from Brave Star and own more pairs from them than anyone else. You can't go wrong with Brave Star, and their tailoring service is top notch.
@@royogrady9179 Very nice! Now that I've bought a couple pairs from Brave Star, I'm going to be using their hemming service the next time I buy fro them.
@@royogrady9179definitely agree with you. I had 4 pairs of Brave Star, put I had gastric sleeve surgery and they are all too big. Working on rebuilding my selvedge collection.
Italian denim, it is just more comfortable - the denim purists obviously don't like it, but what Candiani, Tela Genova (uses Japanese denim at times), Tramarossa and Jacob Cohen put out gives you all the sturdiness without the archaic breaking periods and occasional discolorations/fades
After going down the raw denim rabbit-hole, from Unbranded to Rogue Territory, I ultimately went back to Naked and Famous. Great mix of classic and contemporary designs. The key is with any pants that are 100% cotton to go with a more straight fit
@@StrayReviews Incan say from experience, that is truth! The stretch wear out a lot faster. Never wear stretch with a toddler, the knees and butt will wear out in 2 months. I had to make sure I didn’t wear my FNT All Americans a lot when I first got them.
My favorite is Bravestar. Their True Straight fit is the reason why. I've had Iron Heart, Naked & Famous, Gustin, PBJ, the Jean Shop, Railcar, Grease Point Workwear. I still wear the GPW along with the Bravestar. I've sold the others. I still have one pair of Iron Heart to put up. They're all great jeans. I just really like the way the Bravestar True Straight fits me. I found myself not wearing the others, so they had to go.
@allentu7177 Gustin California slim, if they still offer it. I never tried the slimmest version of the other brands, though. I usually do the models cut like the Levi's 514 or 501.
Very cool. Gustin recently released a pair of persimmon dyed jeans that I really like the look of. Brave star selvedge has some wabash jeans that look nice too
Highly recommend the persimmon dyed selvedge, persimmon has special properties as a dye which a lot of people aren't aware of! Definitely worth looking into!
I pre-ordered the Persimmon dyed jeans from Gustin and just received an email from them the other day saying that the mill never made the fabric, so now it's going to take the mill a couple of months to make the fabric and by the time Gustin gets the fabric and makes them into jeans, they probably won't ship out until May of next year. So they are offering customers refunds if we like or we can just wait.
Funnily enough, for some reason the departmental store pants in my neck of the woods don't come with vanity sizing, I had to double guess myself when buying my first pair from bravestar because when I measured all my pants they were the same as bravestar's measurements. Also for a better tip, anything on the lonewolves section of their website is on a permanent 20% discount. If you find what you like in your size there, it's a freaking good deal. They also sometimes do under 80 dollar preorders for mystery jeans (they randomly choose from a range of thickness for you).

Hi, just picked up a pair of the Hiroshi Kato hammer straight cut jeans and the top block feels extremely snug, especially in the back. I am a Brave Star guy and went with the same size. These are cut much lower in the waist and I’m in the fence about sending them back for one size bigger. How much has your pair stretched out since you started wearing them? The waist is good for me, it’s mostly the rise in the back that I’m concerned about. Thanks for the great review.
AR jeans just fit perfect, they’re soft, have a bit of stretch, super comfortable and look amazing. AR will also tailor the length for you and have a lifetime warranty. Just incredible. I wear mine instead of sweats these days. Thanks for asking and great job on your channel!
What’s your favorite denim to wear?

I've look at the Naked and Famous website, and they look like they have some great offerings.
A little stretch goes a long way. Great vid
Thank you so much!
i wear brave star and gunstin. great value with several options to choose from.
Both great choices. 👍
I prefer jeans with no stretch. They last much longer, but I do own some stretch selvedge, and they are very comfortable to wear.
100% I love my stretch jeans, but my tailor tells me the no-stretch are defintely going to last longer.

Wow, good to know that from someone who’s tried to many!

Very interesting. I don’t think I’ve ever seen jeans that color before. And the pattern in the denim is really unique too.

I'm waiting on my preorder for 33oz Bravestar jeans. Should be interesting! I also have 25oz Iron Heart and 33oz SoSo. Very heavy duty stuff!
Wow! Those things might stand up by themselves!
Im a big fan of strike gold brand selvedge . At $190 are not crazy priced given the quality you get.
Nice! I’ll have to check those out.
How ironic i just got some bravestar in the mail today. The 12 oz woodsman cone mills. My first pair of selvage.
Very nice! Not too heavy, and a great source coming from Cone Mills stock.

Thanks! So far they just fit great. I haven’t noticed any stretching in the back though. I got the slim, so they might fit differently.
Skinner American Goods is another one for you to check out 👍
Very nice! I was originally going to include them, but I didn't have the 3-4 week lead time to wait.
What is your inseam size pls ?
I’m normally a 30 inseam.
You gotta check out Ace Rivington out of Santa Barbara!
