This beat goes so hard. I know everyone loves CREAM and for good reason, but damn this one, this one is nuts. Underdogs theme song is just wild, goes so well with the whole theme of the song.
Thelonious Monk - Functional (Take 1) for the main sample, drums by Lightning Rod & Kool & The Gang- Sport and for the little sounds thru the song it's a pitched little piano maybe Black and Tan Fantasy by Thelonious Monk, but not sure.
I had a Yamaha vector synthesizer with drum pads but I didn't even think about them being touch-sensitive or like weighted pads I mean pressing one harder than the other in sequence probably does produce some kind of effect on the input
Man I love all of your videos. If I could add a small thing, could you get a camera stand that isn't attached to the desk so the camera isn't shaking 👀
Do you think you could remake a Memphis rap song from the 90s there beats are so a head of there time with the sample usage and bass I would love to see you remake a issac Hayes Memphis beat or sun like dj squeaky
IIRC the Organ stab from Steve miller's band "Fly like" was added later. Method suggested to RZA that it was added. Not sure RZA used the Marley Marl Break. But hey...whatever. Good recreation.
Dope dude takes alot of work to recreate something alot of chopping and sample hunting sounds great ....so are u actually finger drumming the whole thing of is that just for dramatic effect... either way it's dope..
During this Black History Month, it's great to see how black Americans invented sampling and took it to the level that it is to this Day! Now even a Chinese or white kid in the hillbilly Country towns of the americas can now appreciate and do what these black men have done magnificently! That's the Martin Luther king hip-hop speech!🎉
Music sampling was invented by a frenchman named Pierre Schaeffer in the 1940's when he created Musique Concrete. The term sample was coined by Kim Ryrie and Peter Vogel (who both worked for fairlight synthesizers) in 1979, when they released the Fairlight CMI. The more you know.

Yo mpc is created by Japanese lol
@@vgbondarevi thought k his point is like how well evolved sampling
@mikeshin5953 The machine was physically created by Japanese, but the art was Mastered by Black people!
@@Theholtfirm The art was actually mastered by French musicians, everyone else was derivative.
