J, it was a informative video. Thank you. Was planing on doing this to my 140K mile 2.4L but was told that pulling off the top would be difficult. Alos what about putting dielectric paste in the tips/boots?? Need to keep my car running in these hard times. Thanks for your support.
Thanks for posting you helped alot. Can you give help on changing to coil packs? I can't figure how to take them out of the housing case. I having a miss fire on #3. I've already changed the pulgs and boot. thanks!
coil packs on what? most of the time there are bolts that go right through the top of the pack that bolt it to the housing. or on the side but mostly through the top. and just remember to disconnect the negative battery cable. and unplug the wiring harness
it's a 2000 alero 2.4. i was told to change my coil pack because of misfire on cylinder#3, I found them under the cover but didn't know how to get them out of the housing. thanks so much!!!!

+William Jones the 2.4 twin cam? those are different. I'd change the spark plug boots too. the springs get worn and sometimes rusty
sorry. i didnt see what you said originally. if you change the coil pack all should be well
thanks everyone. and for future reference. very few of these cars are mine. either family or customers
I have a 01 grand am. 2.4 twin cam. and when I try to remove the cover gasket something underneath is holding it down? I have a bad knocking sound.
do i have to put in oem spark plugs in my 98 grand am?
the boots were a bitch to get out on mine. Very brittle. glad I got new ones.. Running good with the Bosch iridium plugs.
