be good,

I was not expecting Luthier, The Musical, but here we are, and it was nice.
Coming soon to off, off, off, off broadway, then take a left down 35th street and keep going off…
I'll never unsubscribe, your projects are too awesome to miss.
This was the perfect combination of unhinged, relaxing, and inspiring to watch right before bed on a friday night. Thanks Tim 😂
UnHiNgEd?!? how dare you!!!
Love the vid! big fan of the way that the guitar builds are only getting more interesting and experimental as time goes on. All these good ideas and you're the only one actually turning them into guitars!
Fantastic! Sat here in Santa Luzia, Portugal in the blazing sun with a cold beer and a huge grin on my face 😂
Great video Tim 🎉❤
Sounds great!
Wow, Tim. I think this is up there as one of your nicest looking builds to date. Sounds great too! Thanks for sharing this.
Sweet build dude! The pickups compliment the bass very well plus they sound great!
Oh man, I LOVE this one!! ❤❤ I really like the musical interludes too 😂
You should hire that narration dude! He made my day :)
I’ll probably have to pay him
That was off the cuff great Tim! Terrific build and I always enjoy your musical antics along the way! 👏👏🎸🎸👍👍
I love that you don't take yourself too seriously. Makes it all the more fun to watch and learn from you.
That, by far, has to be the best sounding bass I've heard you make yet. And it looked great too. Forget them haters, Tim. Keep doing what you do.
I love walnut! This thing is beautiful, Tim.
looks great, sounds nice, cool build!
My favorite Tim,,Looks beautiful and sounds a treat!
Love the musical interludes Tim! 😁👍
Nice build!
Love the musical commentary. You rock!
some of the raw ingredients we get at work sometimes comes with big green rubber bands "holding" the drums together. They're a bit wider than the ones you seem to have. No, they won't hold a full drum to its 3 mates on a pallet. They just use them for transporting the empty steel drums around before filling. I've snagged several and used them for shaping Veg Tan leather, shoe repair, wood glue-ups, and holding hoses in place etc.
Good score
“Intentional Product Placement”……I’ll be singing that tune in the future as I watch other videos. They all do it, but nobody has written a song about it!
I only do it for my own products, and I’m pretty clear about it :) Most videos made on yt in the past several years are just product placement wrapped in “content” - became just like tv and radio.
And suddenly I start to regret that I don't play bass, lol. IMHO that's the most beautiful bass you've ever built (well, out of those that are in your videos)
This was a fun departure from your "typical" style, and the interstitials were on point. 😂 Bass looks and sounds pretty sweet too. Fun to see the shop in proper context now. 😁 Thanks for sharing!
thanks for visiting! nice to put a real in-person convo to a screen name :)
Beautiful work and great editing. I hardly noticed the subliminal messages.
That's a great looking and sounding bass. Well done, sir!
How great and funny!😂😂😂
Beautiful instrument and refreshing punky humor!😊😊
Amazing work!
Pick ups are awesome!
this was a nice surprise, keep them coming
I feel like you had (S)way too much fun with this one!
Really enjoyed it, and what an amazing Bass.
Love the song! awsome.
Looks great, sounds great!
Could detail the pickups wiring?
Again, really nice work.
You mean how the knobs are wired? Yea, it’s been a while since I’ve done a wiring video. Maybe I will
I loved the musical part with mena comments, lol. And about the bass, tihis is a instrument I would love to play with, amazing piece!
I don't know why 1:28 made me laugh as hard as it did but now I feel inclined to buy a tool I have no business owning 🤣
I don’t know what you’re talking about there are no subliminal messages in this or anything…
Hi, Tim. Another great job! I am very interested in how pallet wood bass feels after a few years? The shape of the body is excellent, but everything can be done even better with the Bigsby).
I like the CNC. I find it fascinating.
always fun to watch
Who hurt you Tim? I feel like you’re blue and speaking to some critic. I hope you know you’re loved. I can’t speak CAD. My Englisch isn’t even good. Stay proud mate. Great work.
I can't afford to order a guitar from you, if l could l would have you build me an explorer. But here's a thanks for the joy you bring me when you post content. 🙏🏻
wow. thanks man! very kind.
@@timsway you and your content are well worth it mate.
Bets wishes from Manchester north west England
Jay 🙏🏻🏴♥️🇺🇲
I have an idea for an experimental project l would love to see you do.
Build an acoustic guitar or bass or both with the shiny glossy finish on the inside to see how it affects the sound.
If anyone can do it you can 🙏🏻
Sure! You order it, I’ll make it!
Nice job.
Hi, what was the cut pencil for?
I drilled dowel holes into the body and top plate to help me align them in gluing and to keep it from sliding. A normal person would use store-bought dowels, but in my house we always have some half-used pencils that no one wants to write with anymore, so I just use those instead of buying dowels.
I like the tone
What is the name of that tremolo that you are using😊
It’s just a bigsby knockoff from ebay
it sounds so gnarly. Now I really want a whammy on my bass hahah.
Hilarious, irreverent video. Gorgeous bass. Mahalo for sharing! : )
Really wish occasionally you'd use a clamp or vice when sanding or profiling.....sloppy and inaccurate...ah but it'll do....only trying to sell these products to the public. Now I know....never....ty fir your comment!
I would really love a CNC. I think my productivity would really increase, and would the items I could make. I really want to make my own body, but I’m so nervous in case I screw up the piece of irreplaceable vintage wood that I have. I’m almost sure I’ll screw up the neck pocket.
Make a bunch out of less valuable wood first, plywood, 2x4s, pallet wood, whatever. that's how you learn and build confidence to make them when "it counts"
@@timsway thanks for the advice man. You’re right, confidence is a big part of it. I have some good tools and using metal I’m quite competent at shaping etc but if I cut too much metal off, I can use body filler or weld more on. I really like this block of wood and I don’t want to cock it up, haha. I’d like to experiment more with glueing/doweling and making things out of offcuts etc as it’s a lot easier to get that wood free or cheaply and I like seeing the different grains and colours etc.
@@thesausage351 like in welding, your first welds aren't going to be as strong or pretty as your last. everything takes time to learn. Don't expect perfection on your first go, but also don't let the fear of failure stop you from striving for it.
Is everything okay Tim ? The bass and the song are beautifull tho
I LIKE IT!
very cool. I want to see Neil Young go nuts on that with the whammy bar.
I am not worthy of one of your songs, but there are many in the world who are.
Still at it, Brother Tim?
indeed
Golly gosh darn it, Tim. I was so mad when I saw you using CNC that I unsubscribed, then when I saw you using hand tools I just had to re-subscribe. Then you used CNC AGAIN? unsubscribe! re-subscribe! How many times are you going to make me do this?
Seriously, I love this video and wish I had unlimited funds. I'd be buying every single thing you make.
Life is a highway!
all the little music bits made me feel like i was watching sesame street or somethin lol
lol. I was thinking about the movie "Something About Mary" with the street band bumpers between scenes.
@@timsway guess I’ve been hangin around my niece too much ahaha
Super.

Using fairy light wire for your pickups? Come on man!
I mean, you can be a cowboy...just don't show the process so everyone can see!
Seems to me, you have gotten worse as time goes on...Un-subscribed...
This video made me un-unsubscribe. 🤪
Can't believe he made us watch CNC
And all the ads, this guy sucks!!
Finally!
That was such a fun vidéo !
